Owner description: We are a takeaway, bake on the premises, bakery. We make real bread without any additives or preservatives. The National Trust specify that we may only use one table for customers to consume food which means they must either sit together at that table or buy takeaway food. We would like to offer more but 'rules are rules' and I hope that visitors will understand when we present them with a takeaway cup! To all our lovely customers, please keep visiting!

Having been to churchills palace the day before [never has so many been ripped off by so few] we were grateful to have chosen this National Trust village for our next excursion. Lacock was a breath of fresh air such pretty place and free, we didn't plan to stay so long, but got caught up in the magic of the place, we went into the CARPENTER'S ARMS to be greeted by a very jovial landlord and to our surprise the food was wonderful and good value [unlike a place nearby where a bowl of soup was nearly £8.00s] three of us ate a main meal, drinks and coffee for just over £30 portions were so good we couldn't manage a sweet, the Bakery opposite was really good with a large choice of goods and Abbey & Fox Talbot museum were of great interest also. we Finished the day with a pot of tea & ice-cream at pub at the start of the village.Well done to all the staff at the Various places for being so helpful and friendly

Spent the day in Lacock and visited this bakery. There's a great selection of bread and cakes. I bought a loaf of sourdough bread and it was delicious, the nicest load of bread I've tasted in a long time.

On a visit to see Lacock and called in to check out bakery. Lovely little place and next time e will stop and have something to eat. Had a nice garden out back but not for public use, pity would have been nice to sit in to relax and have a drink. Did not disappoint though the village itself did which had weeds growing everywhere and had a neglected look about it. Considering the amount of visitors to the village, I do not understand this

Bread pudding I have tasted in a long time. They had lots of other tasty food but that is all we bought there.
