Interesting for photographic enthusiasts but rather technical for joe public. If this museum is viewed after the Abbey trip then it is not so interesting due to being exhausted from the Abbey and grounds.

This Museum tells you all about Lacock and its history including the pioneer of photography William Henry Fox Talbot, whose birthplace was Lacock and he lived in the Abbey. Also you get to know about Matilda Talbot, the last family owner of the Abbey. There is a shop with books to buy etc. Well worth a visit.

But not great unless you are a keen photographer! Was a bit disappointed. However as there are plenty other lovely things to do in Lacock we just did it to tick the box.

To think that this is where photography was first invented was of most interest to us being keen photographers. Set in beautiful surroundings, it makes for a nice day out.

As Fox Talbot was the father of photography it comes as no surprise to find a museum dedicated to photography. Loads to look at, and very interesting.
