After the disappoint of the Abbey this attraction was well worth the time spent going round it twice to take it all in

The Museum keeps your interest through out and is user friendly with a disabled lift. I took us 2 hours to complete, and we learnt quite a bit

This is an interesting place to visit with helpful guides and lovely grounds. Often used for filming regrettably we were unable to visit the cloisters but the house was a good place to see how photography developed. Good pub in the village with reasonably priced good meals

Have always wanted to visit Lacock Abbey,as I have for many years had a keen interest in the 'art', / 'science of producing pictures, having had several darkrooms and sometimes lamented the passing of the film age although I now enjoy the the ease and comfort of the digital age! it was an incredible experience to see the original negatives that Henry Fox Talbot produced, the equipment and all the chemicals that were used. The highlight was for me to stand in front of the window where Henry took his original negative , amazing!!!. If you are at all interested in the history of photography this is the place to come.
