A good place to know about the start of photographic equipment, who founded it and how it took off. Upstairs there is an exhibition of a female photographer's works and her travels in Asia. How she captured wild animals such as tigers and elephants in big, majestic palaces. Very clever and colourful. A lovely place set in Lacock village and its Abbey. A must see for photography enthusiasts.

My husband thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits as, once having been a member of our local camera club, it brought back many memories. Exhibition is of interest to all ages and not only to those who like photography. Well worth a visit.

Worth a 15-20 minute look round b4 going to the abbey (which has the original glass window that was the subject earliest photo)

Small, just did a quick look after visiting the abbey. Maybe more interesting if you are into photography

Museum has been upgraded since my last visit and explains the race between Talbot and Daguerre to launch their different inventions for photography. Hopefully all of the museum will be updated shortly as some of the displays are in the older style and a little repetitive. Would be great to have some photographic activities for people of all ages.
