A lovely one night stay at this fabulous B&B. After a warm welcome from Simone and David, we were shown to our room which was full of character and charm. Breakfast in the morning was outside in the garden, and absolutely delicious, starting with cereals and freshly picked raspberries, fresh fruit with plums and apples picked that morning and followed by a full English breakfast which was the best we have had for years! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a pretty place to stay with personal service from 2 very hard-working and friendly people.

Recently, we spent a very pleasant three nights at Lacock Pottery Bed & Breakfast in the picturesque village of Lacock, where Lacock Abbey is close by. The village is almost entirely owned by the National Trust. We had a lovely welcome from David and Simone. Our bedroom was comfortable and full of charm and from the window we had a view across the road to the church. Breakfasts were something to look forward to and were served in the wonderful main room of the house. David is a fount of local knowledge and was most helpful with suggestions for our sight seeing. There is plenty to see in the village and in the area and Bath is nearby. It was a treat to see David's pottery and to visit his show room. He was always keen to make our visit a happy one. We could not leave without purchasing a couple of Simone's delicious jams.

My husband and I were booked for a one night stay by Cotswold Walks, as part of a 4-day, 48 mile hike to/from Bath. What a treat! It rained on us that day and we walked thru lots of mud and puddles. David met us with a warm smile, took our boots and made sure they dried out overnight. Our room was well appointed and a perfect place to relax. Breakfast was wonderful, and in a comfortable setting. We left with wonderful memories . . . And a little pottery cat that we couldn't resist, made by Simone. I highly recommend a stay here.

We were met by David and Simone who introduced us to the place where we to spend the night. It was once meant for the hard-working people of the area - and for some reason we felt right at home. David held our interest with a good sense of history while Simone added to our comfort with her unique jams and goodies to come for breakfast - and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately, we could not stow the lovely pottery into our meager bags.

We arrived at the delightful B&B in Laycock with a very warm welcome and the venue and the atmosphere enfolded as the owners showed us to our room . The beautiful surroundings and tranquility were of the very best kind. At breakfast time we fully integrated into this unique Wiltshire home with a lovely breakfast spread. We will be back for more of this lovely slice of Wiltshire.

Perfect location perfect hosts. We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary and to be honest couldn't have picked a better place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble for Simone and David. Our room was a double it was bright and clean with a lovely view of the church all facilities you could need e.g assorted teas and coffee, ensuite shower room was small but adequate for,our needs, breakfast was delicious with a selection of fresh fruit , cereals cooked selection and Simone's home made jams bread. We were sad to leave but hopefully we will return in the not too distant future to this lovely part of Wiltshire

This is a quirky, lovely, quiet & characterful proper B&B with a lovely personal touch & fantastic breakfast.
From the moment we arrived we felt special & looked after, nothing was too much trouble.

We have quite a high expectation for our accommodation, We loved our stay, we loved Laycock & we will be returning
I'm really sorry to read some of the negative reviews, anyone who doesn't like this B&B should go and stay at a pointless travel lodge on the motorway, where you can invisibly check in & out without talking to anyone. Yes you should try the jam !
