“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 23 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Accommodation was very comfortable and well described - everything was just as expected when we arrived.

The cottage was comfortable and the view of the loch was breathtaking. Great location for exploring the highlands.

There is a Cooperative food shop in Ballachulish and a Morrisons in Fort William. Both we convenient to stop by and grab any food or other items as we needed them.

We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends. While it was just off the A82, and you can hear the cars going by, it was not too much traffic in March. The amenities and convenience to Ballachulish and Glencoe were well worth it (both driving and walking).

Dear David,

Thank-you for you review. We are always looking to make the cottages a home from home and make them as comfortable as possible.
We have to agree the view across the loch is spectacular, its a fantastic start to the day watching the highland mist rising from the water.
Hope you visit Stone Cottage again soon!

this was a real gem of a cottage, lovely view of the loch. The locals were real friendly, loved the log burner fire. Local resraraunts were very reasonable, Locals walks, and other activities for all the family. The cottage was comfy and had all the comforts of home. Views over seeing the loch, and not to noisy beeing close to the main road.Would like to go again, and will do with family. You can even see the Northern Lights from this cottage.

“Beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 26 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We know the area well and chose this cottage due to its situation between Glencoe an Ballacullish adjacent to the loch. The busy road was not a problem for us and there wasn't any noise. The footage has every facility you can think of for a home from home. The large bath was well used by us after a long day walking. He view of the loch at the front was breathtaking and a lovely spacious garden to the rear. There was no visible evidence or smell of pets but I am very allergic to them or something and it did spoil evenings in the lounge towards the end of the holiday but the cottage is so nice it wouldn't stop me booking this cottage again. I would highly recommend this rental.

“Beautiful, simply beautiful.”
Reviewed 11 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

A lovely little gem nestled between the Glencoe mountains and Loch Levin. A spacious, yet very cosy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break. Right on the A82 (the traffic noise is there but it didn't bother us at all and we live in a quiet village). The stunning views over the Loch are amazing. Secure parking at the rear of the cottage, a well equipped kitchen, centrally heated and a log burner. This was a holiday to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary and wee have thoroughly had a relaxing and enjoyable break. The cottage is perfect as a break for families and couples alike and as a great base for the exploring the area. A short walk into Glencoe village for a shop and lovely cafe that makes the most sublime date slice.

We had a lovely week at this delightful cottage. Particularly impressed with the well stocked kitchen - even a coffee bean grinder and cafetiere provided! Situated on the main road so a lot of traffic noise which was a shame. However this was convenient for getting out for walks etc. Lovely to come home in the evening to a roaring fire and the beautiful view out across Loch Leven. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

“Spacious, yet cosy!”
Reviewed 31 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

It was wonderful! Lots of space for the two of us - would be an ideal place for a family of four. The log fire made it very cosy in the evenings. The cottage is situated on a main road, which could be a little noisy at times, but to be honest it was actually quite useful for getting about - no need to drive down narrow country lanes!

“Great base to explore the Highlands”
Reviewed 18 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We enjoyed our stay in Stone Cottage. It was warm and comfortable with a kitchen that included all that we needed. While it is on the main road, it was not too busy at night. The view of loch opposite is wonderful. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a great base. We went to Oban, Loch Ness and also on Jacobite Railway. We were pleased we stayed here rather than Fort William. Recommend highly.
