5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2013

Just spent 3 nights here - wish it was 2 weeks! Dave and Beverly are excellent hosts (and you even get a tail wag from Mousse). Lovely rooms, excellent big breakfasts (and I tried them all), great knowledge and info about local walks, restaurants, activities etc. As for the location, well it's unbeatable really. Right on the shores of Loch Linnhe and within perfect striking distance of Glencoe, Oban, Mallaig, Ben Nevis and the rest of the highlands. Couldn't have asked for anything more - even the weather behaved itself for the most part. Thank you.

Craiglinnhe House is situated right on the Loch and the view from our room and breakfast table were the best we enjoyed during our 6-day Scottish Roadtrip. Our hosts were warm and friendly and we were made to feel so welcome by Liz and Pat. Liz is a kind and spirited woman who knows how to treat guests with careful attention. Her husband Pat made a sensational breakfast (the eggs, scrambled or poached were done perfectly) which was served in their beautiful dining room. The guesthouse is stately and spacious with decorative oriental touches (as our hosts had lived and worked for several years in Singapore) which made this a unique place to stay. The surrounding area is too beautiful for words and there are many walking and cycling paths easily accessible from the guesthouse. We loved our stay here and recommend Craiglinnhe house to anyone seeking a restful or romantic escape to one of the most beautiful places on earth.

We stayed at the Craiglinnhe House for two nights. Absolutely superb!

The location is great and the house very nice. The room was lovely, very clean and warm, with the softest towels and was facing the loch! The common areas are very welcoming and one can enjoy a nice glass of whisky at the very homey living room.

Breakfast was excellent and the owners were very attentive; they were also very helpful in giving us tips for the area. Overall very pleased with our stay, would highly recommend it!

As soon as we walked in the door we were welcomed with a smile and a joy you couldnt get anywhere else at 9 pm. Through out the whole time it was smiles and what can I do fpr you? Lovely service great breakfast great views and were very knowledgeable of the surroundings and sites. I dont want to leave and since we have to we are already planning a trip back ASAP! Im surprised this is only #3 for the area, I dont think the others can be comparable to here. Bottom line it was an honor to stay here.

Craiglinnhe is our favourite place to stay in all of Scotland. My fiancée and I stayed here four years ago and we knew we'd be back one day as it's just delightful (it's just a shame it took as long as four years!). The location is beautiful with expansive views of Loch Linnhe. The house is very cosy, plushly furnished and offers all manner of home comforts like DVD's, books and (a great new addition on this visit) a healthy stash of very reasonably priced single malts. WiFi is available free of charge and was very handy for us. It really is like a home from home.
Beverly and Dave are lovely hosts. They are very helpful when it comes to recommending local walks and eateries, and their breakfasts are legendary! Perfect sustenance for keen walkers. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone considering staying here, it's just lovely!

Lovely b&b on the banks of charming Loch Linnhe. We were well looked after and the breakfasts simply wonderful - we filled in a form the night before and everything was ready when we came down in the morning. Great spacious rooms and nice to have a selection of books/ maps/ DVDs to borrow.

Good location for walking in glencoe and also Ben/ Glen Nevis. Only thing to look out for is it's a blind corner turning out onto the road from the steep b&b drive. Lovely seafood restaurant The Hooly Tree is walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Try and get a loch facing room!

Scotland provides the scenery and Craiglinnhe the homely comfort after a day's walking. Bev and Dave are most welcoming and helpful. Its a real home from home, with a fantastic view of the loch to wake up to.
