My wife & I stayed here during a trip to visit relatives in Kelso.

It was a last minute find and what a cracking one it was!

Sue was delightful & very welcoming.

The cottage was cosy, warm & well appointed with wonderful views.

Everything was perfect and we would thoroughly recommend.

A perfectly location for exploring the Borders.

Next year we will come for the 5th year in row. The reason for this is that we felt home but also that there is a lot to explore, art, nature, shops and the people are nice.

The host Mrs. Sue Beck wil give a lot of interresting information about the area.

Once again back for yet another great short break except every time we come back to Hendersyde it just gets better and better. Borders are a fantastic place to explore with lots of lovely original shops, places to eat and explore whatever the weather. However, Sue's cottage is just perfect - cosy and welcoming - and a great place to relax after a day out. She has thought of everything needed for a long or short stay inside, but the location is also wonderful with changing scenery daily to appreciate. Sue also personally sets the tone for a relaxing, happy stay.

Room Tip: Have stayed in both rooms in the past and while one has a lovely cosy double bed, the other room has...

This was a belated anniversary break. After a long but trouble free drive from the south coast we received a warm welcome from Sue, clutching our eggs. Sue showed us the cottage features and we soon settled in having unloaded and put our bikes in the shed.
The cottage was warm and comfortable with plenty of room to spread ourselves out.
We had lots of trips out and enjoyed Eyemouth, St Abbs, Berwick, Coldstream, Abbotsford, Jedburgh, Floors Castle, Melrose and even Kelso :-)
The Borders are a quiet part of Britain with beautiful countryside and lots to do, see and enjoy.

Our party of four anglers, including one lady and with 3 labradors had an excellent stay in Millysyde. Perfect facilities in a lovely setting. Very convenient for the river and Kelso. We will be back.

Many thanks for your kind review Ray. It was good to hear your tales from the river bank, particularly the first salmon caught in a Scottish river! Also thank you very much for being so considerate in not bringing your three beautifully behaved dogs into the house - two being our normal limit! Millsyde has been such a personal project, I suppose it is natural that I am a bit protective of trying to keep the property pristine! I’ll look forward to welcoming you back next year!

Had a great week at Hendersyde an unexpected return for us but all the more appreciated as Sue came to our rescue when another provider let us down badly. Her cottages are well situated for touring the Borders and a joy to come back to after a day,s jaunt. Everything is there and more. We will most certainly be back. Thanks Sue for all your help.

Just been back for our second week at Hendersyde this year. The cottages are lovely, Sue makes you feel so welcome, the views are stunning and the peace and quiet is fantastic. I have travelled a lot on business recently and didn't want to see another airport. Kelso is only 1.5hrs drive from home so ideal.

I have never been in a rented property with such a well equipped kitchen. Since the local produce is so good and we both enjoy cooking we normally eat in and too well!

The weather was very kind to us which was an added bonus but on the one wet day we curled up in front of the coal fire with a good malt.

Our dogs love it there too, especially the walks round the fields.

We will be back for more tranquillity next year.
