We arrived as a last minute booking at this B&B after a problem elsewhere. Facilities are good, excellent breakfast and very warm personal welcome, including recommendations on where to eat and what to see. Kelso is good destination with lots of choice in unspoiled countryside.

Thank you very much for your review.

It appears that Kelso is becoming a very popular destination and rightly so. This part of the UK is relatively little known, but once visited we get many people staying longer and returning as it has lots to offer and suits many different tastes.

Janet and I are glad that you enjoyed your stay and the area, hope to see you again.

My husband and three friends stayed here over four nights during their motorcycle trip to the area. Janet and Bruce were very helpful and friendly, and provided a lift into Kelso (Taxi company recommended for returns) in the evening on request (with detailed advice on the inns and restaurants in Kelso). If you prefer to walk into the town it is only about 15 mins, but the location is quiet for those who don't want to be based in the town itself.
The rooms are all very nicely appointed and comfortable. There was plenty of parking (particularly for four motorcycles), and being out of town there were no security concerns.
If visiting the area again my husband said he would not hesitate to stay at Tara again, and recommends it to others planning to stay in the area.

Thanks very much for your comments. We have had many motor cyclists this year who find the security of our premises to be of interest. With having garaging intergal with the house expensive motor bikes and cycles can be stored as required.

Hope to see you back at Tara.

We stayed here for two nights as a base whilst we organized our upcoming nuptials in nearby dryburgh abbey. We had a very nicely appointed room, with a good view of the countryside. The bed was comfortable. The en-suite facilities were very clean and modern, but only had a shower. A very good shower mind. The Breakfast was very good and eaten in a lovely dining room. The hosts were very pleasant, approachable, and helpful, nothing being too much trouble. Will be recommending this B&B to our guests for our wedding.

Thanks very much for the review and glad that all was to your liking. For clarity our en-suites which are in all the bedrooms have a power shower, toilet and wash hand basin, but do not have a bath, due to the size of the ensuites. There is however the opportunity to use the main bathroom, which has a jacuzzi, steam cabinet and sauna.
Janet and I wish you well on your wedding day and hope we can accommodate some of your guests.

We were greeted by Janet and her husband Bruce and made very welcome. Our room was upstairs . The room was immaculate and although we were only there ourselves, the room had a double and single bed . The room was beautifully presented and the on suite consisted of a lovely shower unit , basin and toilet and again was immaculate . Breakfast time was no set time we were asked what time we would like it and it was pre ordered by method of a printed slip . It was lovely and as much tea and toast to accompany the cooked breakfast. A key ring was given with a key for front door and room door .
Overall , we would not hesitate to re book if we were in the area again .

We hope you do visit the area again, as this region has lots to offer and of course, re-book with us.
