“Great house - even nicer owners”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2008

Wonderful private house – with an extremely well kept and well loved garden going down to a picturesque stream. Good atmosphere, friendly and well travelled owners who clearly love what they are doing.

Food:
Sea Trout, followed by Squab and then desert. Good no choice menu (when we booked we were asked if we didn’t like anything) and having been asked what kind of wine we would like we were given an excellent white burgundy to start followed by a gamey red burgundy. There was no list and the wines were perfectly matched, not only to the food, but to the style of wine we requested. Wonderful, cheerful, knowledgeable chatty but non-intrusive service.

Breakfast:
Amazing breakfast – a range of different fresh fruits, home made breads and great sausage and bacon.

The stay was wonderful - we couldn't have asked for more.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2007

We booked Edenwater House for a weekend after recieiving a recommendation from a friend who stayed there 2 years ago. Having not stayed in a guest house before due to predominately opting for larger hotel chains, we were apprehensive as to what to expect. We were not dissappointed! From the moment we arrived Jeff and Jacqui ( the owners) made us feel so very welcome and catered for our every last whim! The food was excellent - infact i have never eaten so much in the space of two days - and i am a very fussy eater! The house itself was beautifully decorated with a very warm, cosy atmosphere and intricate details. All in all, I would recommend this guest house to everyone and anyone who is looking for a quiet, secluded break, minutes from Kelso town centre. We loved it!
