Lovely bungalow near the river cree, close to shops and nice little cafes. Had a wonderful time, there is lots to do riverside walk, woodland walks, tennis court, local pub, explore the village/town.

“Happy Holidays again”

Had a great week again on our annual visit to Tigh na Cree for the 6th year. Although the weather wasn't to too clever there are lots of things to do. We visited the mull of Galloway which was spectacular, Dumfies House, which is no where near Dumfries. Enjoyed port Patrick as always and the raiders road in the Galloway forest was great.
The accomodation was spotless as always and had EVERY convenience, including WIFI. It is warm, clean and comfortable. A home from home and we look forward to our next visit.

Liked best: Great view of the river and close to the shops
Liked least: A previous guest must have been a smoker but we irradiated the smell.

“Home from home in the Highlands”

Just had another great week at Tigh Na Cree with close friends for the 5th year running. Its a little home from home for us, it has ALL the amenities you could want.
Its an ideal base to visit many places of interest, which we did. Within walking distance of three supermarkets and local shops. Situated on the banks of the River Cree with a lovely garden at the front of the property. Parking for 4 cars if needed. There is also WiFi this year which is a boon. Looking forward to next year.

“Tign na Cree, a gem in Newton Stewart, will be staying there again!”

Too often these days we live in a world of rushing around, so it is a delite to find this gem of a location whre relaxation and tranquility are the watch words. The house sits on a private road and looks out onto the River Cree, evening sundowners in the conservatory are a must, as you can watch the river and world go by. Although in a very quite llocatin, only a few minutes walk away are all the essentials of life, several supermarkets, local shops, banks etc accessed from the road end by a pedestrian bridge to the pther side of the river. Easy to get a lemon quickly for the G&T! Or take the car across the road bridge to easy parking in the town. The house is spacious, confortable, very well equiped, (broadband, digital TV, DVD, good kitchen, a bit like having your own home from home. Cannot recommend Tign na Cree highly enough. Plus the location, so many places to visit and great walks, activites for all weathers, so a little rain is no problem (it is Scotland) but frequent sunshine too, plus there is that G&T by the river to look forward to when you get back in the evening.
