Drey Cottage is in the perfect position for a holiday in a Dumfries & Galloway . It is central for the whole area & has the beautiful forest on the doorstop - ideal for dog walks . The cottage is warm & cosy . The owners are very welcoming , without being intrusive & Jennies home baking is delicious . Highly recommend.

Thank you very much for your great review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Drey Cottage and it would be great to have you stay again. A red squirrel has visited the feeders in the garden every day this week.

“Wonderful cottage”
Reviewed 3 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Lovely warm cosy and clean cottage. Walking and mountain biking from the door. Couldn't have been made more welcome. The home baking just topped it off.
Will certainly be making a return visit and would recommend it to everyone

Many thanks for your review. So pleased that you enjoyed your second visit to Drey Cottage. I know you all enjoyed the cycling, walking and canoeing amongst the seals in the sea and of course all the wildlife in the cottage garden. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Thank you so much for your review of Drey Cottage. Pleased that you enjoyed being here in the peace and quiet of the hamlet. No busy roads only the country lane and so quiet at night for a good nights sleep! Hope to see you both in the not too distant future.

Thank you very much for your review, it was our pleasure meeting you and we are pleased that you enjoyed your holiday. You left the cottage in perfect condition and that is very much appreciated. The set of 3 segmented vases are sized each gaining 10% larger than the other. They really are unique and I hope you derive a lot of pleasure from them.

Thanks again,
Jennie & Vince

We have been to Dray cottage for the last 10 years, It is a fabulous cottage with everything you could want, Jennie and Vince always make you feel so welcome with tea and cake on your arrival. Wild life is stunning with the birds and red squirrels visiting most days. It is a very special place and one I will return to time and time again.

“Perfect and Peaceful”

We have just come home following a wonderful week's holiday. Drey Cottage is a perfect place to stay just on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. There are walks from the cottage and it is so quiet and peaceful. If you get a clear night the dark skies are amazing. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. A real home away from home. Jennie and Vince, the owners, are a lovely couple and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect . We arrived to find the table set for afternoon tea with a delicious fruit loaf. During the week Jennie popped in with a fresh baked loaf and scones which were very much appreciated. Vince does wood turning and has some beautiful pieces on display in the cottage which you can buy and the proceeds go to a very good cause. The cottage is well located for exploring the area and there is plenty to see and do including lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife. Red squirrels are regular visitors to the cottage gardens as are lots of birds and even a sparrowhark. We wish we had found Drey Cottage when we first visited the area last year. We hope to return next year.
