“Fantastic hotel, friendliest staff ever”
Reviewed 31 March 2013 via mobile

Just back from a 2 night stay and was pleasantly suprised, the hotel was very clean and tidy, the staff were fantastic with a special mention to Karen who was very friendly and always smiling, the new owner think his name was Michael was very approachable and the rooms you could tell we're just decorated and our room (25) was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. The food was lovely with a special mention of the cooked breakfast really something special and cooked to order so piping hot, really enjoyed our stay with you and would definatly stay again.

“Food from a can”
Reviewed 10 February 2013

Starter portions extremely small. Main course obviously came straight out of a can, not even altered to look home made. Couldn't say that the steak and ale pie had steak in it. Homemade macaroni cheese, more like Heinz macaroni cheese. Lasagne can only be described as cat sick, inedible. Very slow service even though there was only 1 other customer dining. If you want to throw your money away then this is the place to go but at least you can look at the nice wallpaper whilst you're doing it.

“A pleasant suprise”
Reviewed 29 October 2012 via mobile

Settled upon a saturday night meal here after a disaster else where and were pleasantly suprised, food, especially the main couse ,was very tasty. Friendly, welcoming and helpful service! Would go back! Only downside was the room was dark, decorated blandly and lacked touches to make it warm and comfortable like curtains, pictures, candles and flowers.
