“The place to relax”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Just back from Loch Ken, went for a few days in our tourer and ended up staying for the week, although the site was quite busy, it never felt crowded, it has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the staff are lovely, the shower facilities are great and spotless, as is the park. My husband even tried a bit of fishing while I sat at the side of the loch reading, bliss! Would defiantly go back.

This is the nicest caravan site I have ever visited. The park is absolutely spotless including the outdoor wc. The staff are friendly and the views
are beautiful. We stayed in a holiday home which looked onto the loch where my husband spent hours fishing. My 5 year old loved the Sandy bit next to the loch and we even went paddling. There are boats to hire and a wee shop with books to borrow dvds to rent and even fishing bits and bobs. We were a family of 5 with kids ages 5 12 and 15. Can't wait to return :)

We've just come back from a short stay at Loch Ken holiday park and it was really very good.
The staff are friendly and helpfull, the pitches are very neat, well built and clean. The whole park is immaculately tidy and compact. The toilet and shower blacks were spotlessly clean and very well equipt with each cubical having a shower, toilet and sink and the shower is separate so your cloths didn't get wet.
There's a good park for the children, loads of water taps and you can hire boats ,pedalos and mountain bikes.
If the shop sold crunchy bread and croissants they .would have queues of people there down to the loch, every morning. Buy a bake off oven for the shop and look into Deli France products!

Stayed here with hubby for the first time- we know the area but had never pitched our tent in this spot before.
Overlooked the loch with a great sunset each night.
Site is immaculate, grass cut regularly, shower blocks sparkling and small shop selling essentials - what more could you want. The tent fields are large, though some sloping, plenty of room and even allows fire pits! Boats and canoes for hire- easy hop into our kayak and off we went! There were a number of play areas for families with younger children.
We intend to return as soon as weather allows. Easy trip up from Tyneside, same distance as going to the Lakes- though much quieter and peaceful.

We stayed last June 2013 and thought what a brilliant place it would be for families with children. As a retired couple, we enjoyed it too, out of season and very quiet. Beautiful peaceful evenings with drink in hand enjoying the views and bird activity on the loch.
