“Not to be missed!”
Reviewed 10 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

Beautifully located, decorated and presented accommodation. Easy access to all local amenities. This is truly a luxury experience and not to be missed! From start to finish a great customer focus from the owners and we will certainly be back to enjoy it all over again.

“Fantastic modern apartment with a great view”

From the booking to arrival the communication was perfect. We arrived at the agreed time to be welcomed to the apartment and found a lovely welcome pack of chocolates and biscuits and then found a the lovely surprise of chocolate cake in the fridge. The apartment is modern and has all that you could require including Wi-Fi. The living room is upstairs giving you a perfect view over the loch, with two modern bathrooms. The apartment is well located for getting around Dumfries and Galloway and we took in walks at Sandyhills and Clatteringshaws and visited many of the local towns and villages. Although we only had breakfasts in the accommodation there is everything that you would need in the kitchen. In the evenings we ate at The Kings Arms only a couple of hundred yards from the apartment and also at The Crown Hotel all the staff at these pubs/hotels were really welcoming and the food was super. One place not to miss out on is the Fish & Chips at Moore's only a hundred yards away from the apartment they are just perfect. I would recommend this apartment to anyone as you won't be dissappointed our only little gripe was that the beds are not as comfortable as our bed at home.

“Fantastic facilities, ideal for golfers!”
Reviewed 24 September 2012 for a stay in September 2012

I stayed here for a week as part of a group of 8 golfers. We visit Scotland every year (for the last 23 years) and finding accommodation that suits 8 singles is very difficult. These apartments are ideal. They have fantastic decor and facilities.
The kitchen has everything you have at home, the plush towels supplied are as good as a top hotel, parking is private and we had room for 3 4x4 vehicles, and the tv's have all freeview chanels as well as all the regional BBC news ones stored.. There are many golf courses available in the vicinity within a short drive. (Lochmaben Golf Course is a hidden gem).
If the weather is good the balcony is a superb touch with a view over a grassed/park area and the loch..
The half dozen or so pubs (not the best around by any means) are all in walking distance and a steak meal in the nearest (Kings Head) was top notch.

We will certainly use these apartments again when we return to the area. You will be very happy if you book to stay .

“Lovely apartment - great facilities with a lovely balcony view.”

Booking was simple via the website. Used PayPal to pay for the week.

The apartments ( there are two, can be combined if a larger party) are very modern. They were newly built onto existing house of the owner and included a large balcony with outdoor seating, electricity and lighting.

The bedrooms are located on ground floor so you can have the view over Carlingwark Loch all day long.

Bathrooms are modern and the downstairs one includes a bath, upstairs is a large walk in shower room.

Wifi is standard and I got download speeds of 10mbps plus and 1.5mps upload spped. Kitchen is great with dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and microwave. Washer/ dryer is located under stairs and was very useful with a toddler!!! There is a dining room table for 4 in the open plan lounge/diner/kitchen.

Both bedrooms include flatscreens TVs with DVD player inside. There are iPod docks around the apartment including a grea one in the upstairs living room.

The upstairs wooden floor was slightly noisy, but only noticeable in the evening when trying to be quieter when little one asleep - this isn't a major issue and didn't put us off the property.

Location is great as a base for Dumfries and Galloway exploration or for trips further afield.

Andrew, the owner, purchased toddler stair gates to ensure our safety whilst at the property. We very much appreciated it and it made life so much simpler and safer. Request them if you need them.

“Excellent and comfortable accomodation”

The apartment is really well furnished; light and modern. Everything you need for a comfortable break is there. We were really lucky with the weather so we used the balcony, with folding doors off the living room, every day. The location is great for access to some of the 7stanes bike parks although the secure bike store could be a bit taller so that bikes can be stored upright. I would definatley recommend these apartments!
