“Beautiful cabin in peaceful setting”

I stayed at the hideaway for a couple of nights with my wife. On arrival, we were amazed at how beautiful it was - both the cabin and scenery. The cabin itself is very cosy and has all the amenities you need to enjoy a self catering holiday. There were a few very small issues - the DVD player didn't work, the batteries in the controllers didn't work so had to adjust everything from tv and there was no lighter fluid in the lighters so couldn't light the gas hobs - small things. The cabin is located about 25mins drive to Clatteringshaw visitor centre, where close by you have the red deer hide and raiders road forest drive - both highly recommended. It's 3 miles from the town of Dalry which has the Clachan Inn - excellent good! Overall, great holiday and will certainly return if in the area. Thanks Jonathan and Charmaine.

The Hideaway Dalry, it is a Hideaway, lovely setting and surroundings. Like many of the reviews, this is a cosy all you need chalet. Facilities were very clean and everything ready for a comfortable stay, we stayed whilst purchasing a property in Scotland and it was a great place to sit back and relax after some long days. The area has lots of walks, and for wildlife it was great to sit out on the patio and watch the wildlife world carry on. The owners are helpful & friendly. We are booked again for Christmas and can't wait as such a lovely escape.

“Relaxing long weekend”
Reviewed 16 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The Hideaway feels remote and secluded but has plenty of local attractions for those with their own transport. The scenery and wildlife is on the doorstep with local walks from The Hideaway. Local small town has places to eat, petrol station and small convenience store. There is plenty for the outdoor types to do, hiking, cycling and water sports at nearby activity. There are plenty of historic places for those who have an interest in local history; for those interested in wildlife and bird watching; the views of the local landscape are to die for. The Hideaway is equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday and the owners shared a warm welcome and offer of support if needed. Would highly recommend The Hideaway as a great place to stay to enjoy time away from normal routines of life.

“Private, peaceful, perfectly situated cabin”
Reviewed 13 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

This cabin is amazing. It feels very secluded and is aptly named the hideaway. The owners provide you with a code for accessing the key box and this provides maximum privacy. The cabin interior is well laid out, furnishings in perfect order and very clean. The cabin looks charming from outside and is deceptively roomy inside while containing everything that you could need for a comfortable stay.
The surrounding area is great for walking and the peace and quiet ensure a welcome escape from the city and technology.

“Cosy cabin”
Reviewed 20 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Booked a weekend away as a Christmas present. Weather was meant to be atrocious but didn't amount to much, leading to stunning night skies! Easy to find, directions and information in general from Charmaine was spot on. She gave advanced warning of a power cut for around our arrival time but a complimentary bottle of red soon warmed us up! Very much left alone once we were their and the privacy was greatly appreciated. Beautiful cabin, well equipped and comfortable with games and dvds for those who want more than each others company. Would very much recommend the clachan inn in St John's town of dalry 3 miles away. Amazing food for very reasonable prices. Will no doubt come back to "the hideaway" again!
