Who owns this hotel? and where are they? It is in a lovely setting, when they started doing carvery Sunday lunches we and many other people went.....none of us go now! Why? It is time the owners checked out this place and what is going on.

The reason for my visit was my mum's wedding and during the time we stayed at the hotel we enjoyed countless meals from the restaurant. Food was amazing, you get loads for your money and the meals I ate there could beat all the other places I have eaten! The kitchen staff made smaller portions and altered meals for my 16 month old son and they couldn't be happier to help. Facilities were more than great until a unruly group from a function took unessessary umbrige and decided to put whole toilet rolls down the toilets. Such a shame for all the staff who work at the hotel including the restaurant staff too! The Sunday carvary meal is highly recommended and the meat not to be sniffed at! Will definitely be visiting again!

Food was fantastic big portions but amazing. Stayed in The hotel then once I had checked out I returned for a meal and it was superb... Would recommend to anyone in the local area to try the restaurant at least once (then again and again) Dave is a fantastic chef and his food is to die for. :) also lovely relaxing atmosphere

Only word to describe this place is AWFUL! Attended a family christening at the weekend. They served cold soup and waited 10 minutes for a spoon and the soup and tasteless. THEN they brought out the sandwiches which were lamb, beef, turkey (what was on the Sunday carvery!!!!) the sandwiches were slapped together - (you could see their finger prints from the squash) halved and pilled on a silver platter! They did manage some what was supposed to be egg mayo but consisted of half an egg in a bit of bread. If you are thinking on any kind of function think again!

Food is local produce and is cooked to perfection. Try the Caledonian Chicken (Chicken and haggis, neeps and tatties). We had 4 meals all first class and not expensive.
