“Very Good Apartment in a Foodie Town”
Reviewed 4 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

First the apartment: Comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and a very nice table outside that we eat at when the weather was sunny.
Then the town: Castle Douglas is billed as a bit of a town for foodies, but we were a little dubious when we arrived late one afternoon. However, the next morning all the shops opened and were excellent.

“Castle Douglas-Great,Creative Retreat Accomodation!”
Reviewed 15 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Great Flat in Castle Douglas! Very homely and spacious interior with log burner in the main lounge and the shower is great! I used the rental to do some creative writing and a bit of recording. Castle Douglas is a great town, with everything you could possibly need on the doorstep. I will return for a longer let next time.

“Beautiful flat - such lovely decor, so homely and perfect for families.”

What a beautiful flat - decorated to a very high spec, well equipped and great outdoor space for bbq's and plenty space for my young kids to safely run around. Castle Douglas is lovely - so many beautiful shops, restaurants and cafés within walking distance and many more places to visit for walks and family fun within a short drive. Will definitely be back as great value for money too!

Absolutely fantastic apartment with incredible attention to detail. Everything you could possibly need and more was provided. The children loved the board games and playstation, not to mention the location within yards of an incredible sweet shop! The owners were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

“Excellent break. Lovely flat, nice wee town.”

The flat is really lovely, we really enjoyed our stay: everything we needed was there, the kitchen in particular was really well equipped and all of it nice quality. I loved the decor and the main living room was so comfortable and cosy. If there was one thing to add: I'd say the bathroom needs ventilation. Most of the windows are nailed shut & it would good to be able to open the one in the bedroom.

We had a great time in this apartment with our 3 children. The accommodation is very comfortable, welcoming and has been decorated to an impeccable standard. There is lots of family fun on your doorstep; Threave Gardens, Chocolate Factory, local Swimming Pool etc etc. There are 2 main supermarkets in the town for all your needs and some great restaurants for eating out. We would highly recommend a visit.
