“Excellent Guest House”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

I stayed here for one night during a motorcycle tour of Scotland; the parking was adequate. The service was polite and helpful and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The windows didn't seem to let much light in, and the décor seemed very '70s: Anaglypta wallpaper, Formica, and lots of straight lines at angles, etc; but then again, '70s remains quite fashionable. The room was a good size and well-equipped, and although the dedicated bathroom was some way down the corridor, it was spacious and worked well. Several of the other guests I met come back year after year, which confirms that somehow the package works; I'd certainly stay here again if I have the opportunity. What the locals may not mention is that there is an excellent Tescos a couple of streets away - perfect if your budget doesn't extend to a meal at one of the restaurants!

My first impression was that the décor was a bit tired and old fashioned. However, my room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed my two-night stay. The owners are very pleasant and serve an excellent cooked breakfast. The guest house is in a quiet street a short walk from the town centre, bank and several restaurants. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The B&B owners were warm and friendly. Breakfast served were great !! The town is really small and the place is just a very short way to the main shore road where all the food and shops are. The nearest ATM (RBS) is also just a street away. Room is good, with the usual kettle/coffee/tea/hot chocolate, TV etc. Please do not they do not serve beyond breakfast i.e. do not operate a restaurant.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. Paid £45 per night for a single room. The room was on the 2nd floor and had an ensuite bathroom. The room was clean and the sheets and towels smelt freshly laundered. Free wifi was also available. Coffee, tea and cookies was also provided in the room. A cooked breakfast was provided and there was enough choices to suit most people. It was walking distance from the main street and also a supermarket.

Stayed here last week, was booked by our bus tour. The b&b is a few streets back from the "main drag" which meant it was quiet.

The bff & I had a twin room which was quite spacious. Beds were super comfy. Although we both got too hot through the night with the heavy blanket. Had the window open the second night which was fine.

Room had facilities for tea/coffee etc & even some cookies. Tiny tv. Free wifi in the room which was much appreciated by us. Big bathroom with a shower over bath.

Breakfast was great. Option for smoked salmon & scrambled eggs or cooked breakfast. You can also have porridge if you like. There is yoghurt, fruit, juice and cereal if you prefer something lighter in the mornings. Portions are generous so you'll set off with a full belly!

Situated in Market Street which is a pretty tree lined avenue two streets back from the harbour. This is a quiet part of Ullapool with little passing traffic and there are several B & Bs close by.
I had a double room on the front of the building. It was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and fresh bedding. The bathroom, particularly the shower, I found small and dated, but everything worked well, it was clean and there was a good supply of soaps and shampoos. The breakfast was probably one of the best I have had in a Scottish B & B.

Was cheap but only slightly less than normal

Squeeze in beside the boat in parking lot,

Glad we didnt have our truck.

Clean room however feels dated with wallpaper peeling off, small tv, interesting bathroom finishings.

Good breakfast to start a day off.

Nice host and service
