Eilean Donan is situated in a 'suburban' street of Ullapool handy to everything. Our twin room was on the ground floor so getting things in was easy. The downside of being on the lower level was that we could hear the people upstairs moving around. The friendly welcome was brief but covered everything. Breakfast included some options other than the standard Scottish breakfast eg kippers or smoked salmon. Fresh fruit was available. The shower was one of the better ones we had encountered in Scotland with good pressure and was very hot.

I stayed here for one night during a motorcycle tour of Scotland; the parking was adequate. The service was polite and helpful and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The windows didn't seem to let much light in, and the décor seemed very '70s: Anaglypta wallpaper, Formica, and lots of straight lines at angles, etc; but then again, '70s remains quite fashionable. The room was a good size and well-equipped, and although the dedicated bathroom was some way down the corridor, it was spacious and worked well. Several of the other guests I met come back year after year, which confirms that somehow the package works; I'd certainly stay here again if I have the opportunity. What the locals may not mention is that there is an excellent Tescos a couple of streets away - perfect if your budget doesn't extend to a meal at one of the restaurants!

My first impression was that the décor was a bit tired and old fashioned. However, my room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed my two-night stay. The owners are very pleasant and serve an excellent cooked breakfast. The guest house is in a quiet street a short walk from the town centre, bank and several restaurants. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The B&B owners were warm and friendly. Breakfast served were great !! The town is really small and the place is just a very short way to the main shore road where all the food and shops are. The nearest ATM (RBS) is also just a street away. Room is good, with the usual kettle/coffee/tea/hot chocolate, TV etc. Please do not they do not serve beyond breakfast i.e. do not operate a restaurant.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. Paid £45 per night for a single room. The room was on the 2nd floor and had an ensuite bathroom. The room was clean and the sheets and towels smelt freshly laundered. Free wifi was also available. Coffee, tea and cookies was also provided in the room. A cooked breakfast was provided and there was enough choices to suit most people. It was walking distance from the main street and also a supermarket.
