“Superb week at Hogmany 2015/16”
Reviewed 10 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We had a fantastic week at Taigh a Bhraoin near Ullapool in the village of Letters for Hogmany. The House was very well equipped and extremely warm. There were 8 of us staying in the house. The views from the house were wonderful and some of our party went walking most days and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Ullapool was only a short distance away if you required anything. The house was decorated for Christmas and Andrew and Mary the owners had left us a very welcoming food and drink parcel, which we really enjoyed. The owners were exceptional on all aspects of our booking and stay and we would definetely recommend this property and will use again ourselves.

“Lives up to its Promise”
Reviewed 28 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We have had this booked for the past 6 months and have intermittent contact with the owners, Mary and Andrew MacKenzie, finalising the booking. Internally, the property is extremely well appointed, especially the kitchen area - big for us as we have three teenage boys in the party and eating out is not always an option. Thoroughly clean and spotless throughout. Everything works and it works well. Heating and showering is up to the standards we would expect.
Externally, what, can we say? The weather has been kind to us even at the end of October and we have been breakfasting (porridge all round) on the well kept patio area. Views are to die for and so relaxing and peaceful especially for city dwellers like ourselves.

“Great location Great Views Great Cottage”
Reviewed 16 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The only reason it is not rated excellent is that the sauna was broken. Otherwise this cottage catered for our every needs, very well equipped kitchen, lots of extras, spices, condiments and a welcome food pack. Detergents for washing machine and dishwasher. Wi fi was much appreciated by the teenagers and it had lots of dvd's and board games. Lots of information available. Hairdryers and straighteners also included. A very comfortable and relaxing stay.

We're really sorry the lack of sauna spoilt your stay and caused you to mark us down. This was outwith our control as a previous guest had damaged it by misuse but unfortunately this spoilt YOUR stay. The fact that you mentioned a large number of pluses makes us hope that when you think back, it will be those that stay in your memories. We hope you will give us the opportunity to rectify the sauna problem with your return in the future. Thanks for staying at Taigh a' Bhraoin,
