We spent the last night of a family holiday here with our son, daughter-in-law, baby granddaughter (7 months old) and his Canadian mother-in-law. The atmosphere was great and they made us all feel very welcome, even the baby! We tried quite a variety of food and it was all excellent, and fantastic value for money.

Spent an evening in the Seaforth sheltering from the rain. My wife made the sensible choice for a fishing village eatery and ordered salmon, I had chicken. The chicken looked like a microwave meal, nothing special at all. The salmon was amazing, a huge quantity of first class fish - a far better choice! The desserts were good and my choice redeemed the earlier chicken let down. Nice atmosphere too and decent service and reasonable price.

My review of the FerryBoat inn explains why we ended up eating at the Seaforth Inn but we're really glad that we found this place.
Lovely food, great atmosphere, excellent staff - well done guys, you're showing others how it's supposed to be done.

We had read about this place since it had won various awards over the past years, so we made sure to visit it. The place is comfortable and unpretentious, but very cosy. You can walk in with a suit or wearing bermudas, no problem. You always have to wait a few minutes (we never waited for more than 10 minutes) since it is always very busy - no wonder it is so good! You read through the menu and after struggling to decide what to go for - with all the bountiful options printed on the menu and written on the board - you go up to the counter and order the food, and pay for it. We found this quite unusual, since we normally always pay after eating, but it seems to be a common practice in Scotland. The food is always delivered in reasonable time. The quality of the food is superb and genuine. Prices are very fair considering what one is eating. If you are a seafood fan, go for the Seafood platter. It is marked at £75 and it is meant for 2 people, but we saw whole families sharing it and it is super. Kids are welcome too and they also have their own choice of menu. Staff is very good and friendly. We ended up going again.

Great place, friendly staff (no table service though, but it works well anyway), atmosphere is informal and international but the catch of the day was absolutely spot on delicious. Good selection of great beers, so really no need to go trough the winelist. One quirky thing I Liked, was that the menu had photographs of the fishingboats which are delivering the rawproduct Daily.
