The hostess, Mina, is a lovely, quiet spoken lady. Her home is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. WIFI is available in your spacious room, as is coffee, tea, hot chocolate and some biscuits. Our en-suite bathroom was very clean, roomy and had a shower with great water pressure and no shortage of hot water. There is also a lounge available for guests. If you'd prefer not to stay right in Inverness, this is a good alternative. Conveniently located in the nearby town of Muir of Ord. It is also close to the lovely town of Beauly where you can have a nice walk around or grab a meal. Right next door to this B&B is a hotel were we had a delicious, hearty meal. I couldn't even finish mine it was such a generous portion. For breakfast stick to the cooked Scottish breakfast, I found other breakfast choices to be quite meager. Excellent value here.

We visited this b and b on our way north. The accommodation was smart and spotless. The room was spacious and the bathroom facilities of a high standard. We ate in the evening at the Priory Hotel in nearby Beauly and had a lovely meal. On leaving, a pipe band was preparing to play outside which was a nice surprise. The b and b was excellent value for money and although a train runs very near to the house, it didn't bother us and wasn't very frequent. The breakfast was delicious.

A very comfortable night's sleep - which was needed for our cyclists after a full day in the saddle.
As one of 16 overnight stops, this rates very well as it provided everything we needed - a good bed, a nice bathroom, value for money and a good breakfast.
I did feel slightly in the way in the morning when I asked to stay for an extra half an hour to use the internet - which was a shame but I did understand.

Chestnut Villa is very comfortable, and Mina is willing to do extra if necessary to keep it that way. On our first night we were in the large family room, which was spotlessly clean. Second stay we were in a smaller twin room which was also quite comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless, and provided everything we needed. Mina's breakfasts were very tasty, and introduced us to the joys of haggis. Thank you Mina.

Room Tip: Leave the large case in your car, and carry a small overnight bag into your room. It will be easier...

The room that we stayed in was clean and had everything that you needed and if you wanted or needed anything else Mina would sort it out for you. This had been the third time that we have stayed there and I would recommend anyone to stay there if they were in the area and needed a b&b for the night or longer. Breakfast was hot, fresh and very tasty. :-)

My partner and I have just returned from a two-night stay at Chestnut Villa while in the area for a wedding, and we were very impressed. The B&B is very well run by Mina who is very accomodating. The room we stayed in (the family room) was very clean and had everything you would expect from a bed and breakfast, including TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. There is also a small residents lounge, off-street parking at the front of the house, and a wide variety of options for breakfast in the morning, including hot cooked food. Mina was very pleasant and made sure that we had everything we needed, and if I am ever back in the Muir of Ord area I will certainly return to Chestnut Villa.
