The ‘Big Sky Lodges’ team are friendly and very efficient, with their core aim being to make your stay a pleasure. Everything from the initial arrangements right up to the detail within your directions to getting there was spot on. In this area of the country there are so many beautiful places to visit, but my mention here will be minimal – get along and experience it.
Each lodge has a surrounding grass plot, which is well manicured and you have the privacy you might wish for in a country retreat. The lodge was well kept and absolutely spotless inside. Much thought has been given to the requirements of visitors and it is likely you will find everything inside that you need to support a very comfortable stay.
On the outskirts of the site there is a bright and open forest for those that like a walk or bring along their four legged friends. As well as the crackling and whistling sounds of nature, combined with the scents, there is always the possibility of seeing wildlife such as deer or even birds of prey in flight.
I will conclude with a snack… For those who do visit you must get along to Jaki’s chipper at the Muir of Ord – about 2 ½ miles – the friendliness of staff, food and service brought our party a few smiles. Without hesitation I support the spending of your time to make what will be a worthwhile booking with Big Sky Lodges.
We were just in the area for a couple of days but this was a great find and a great hang out for a family or group of friends with open plan kitchen/seating room. Had all the amenities and lovely en-suite double room with balcony. Didn't see much of the local area as we were travelling each day a fair distance but nice central location. I think we'll definitely be looking this up again. Thanks Ailsa.
