Home Farm Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #6 of 11 Muir of Ord B&B and Inns
Reviewed 26 September 2012

We both agreed as we pulled away from Home Farm (for the second time as I forgot my coat!!) that this was one of the best B&B's that we had stayed in to date.
A few of the things that made it for us were the fab hoasts Sue and Stuart - I rarely remember the names of folk that I come across in these kind of places as they usualy check you in the leave you to it but these guys make real time for you and are happy to impart their vast knowledge of the local area.
In addition to this they have a great sence of humour and they quickly got our measure and we shared some great banter.
On our first morning over breakfast we got treated to a spotted woodpecker and a hoast of pretty finches in the garden feeders, then as we set out for our day Stuart pointed out a Red Kite and a buzzard flying over the lovely garden. The only thing missing from our trip to the area were the Dolphins although I'm told its the best place in the British Isles to see them!!!!!!!!
Lovely evening meal and a great room.
Hope we will make it back.

We spent one night in Home Farm and we loved it. Sue is really a lovely host and she made sure that we really felt at home in this B&B. The room is large and well furnished with all the items that you would need. Shower was lovely as well. The cottage is surrounded by a lovely garden and is very quiet. Breakfast was extremely tasty

An overnight stay at the Home Farm B & B was far too short. We were delighted with the large, well appointed home which included a lovely garden. Hosts Sue and Stewart were warm, welcoming and full of information about the surrounding area's flora, fauna and history.
While we had become accustomed to hearty and tasty breakfasts at Scottish B & Bs, the dinner Sue and Stewart served us was a gastronomic delight that set this B & B apart from the others. We'd love to return and would highly recommend the Home Farm B & B.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and had 3 excellent nights sleep! When I commented to Sue, our lovely host, that it was the best bed I'd ever slept in at a B&B/hotel she said she changes them every 2 years, which I think is something very special.

Also very special were the lovely breakfasts (including haggis and Stornaway black pudding), and dinner which was divine. Sue and Stewart were perfect hosts - helpful and friendly without being intrusive.

The room was clean and spacious. We will definitely be back if we are lucky enough to head up to the highlands again.

I have stayed at Home Farm a few times now and would recommend it to anybody looking for a quiet Bed and Breakfast in the Highlands. Sue and Stewart make you feel like you are in your own home. I would ask when booking for an evening meal...they are to die for.

I have used Home Farm B&B on several occasions for both business travel and leisure breaks. The standard of rooms, food and hospitality is consistently excellent. Sue and Stewart are warm, genuine and helpful hosts, who provide a superb base for touring in the Highlands. I would not hesitate to give Home Farm B&B the highest recommendation to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Scotland.

As a regular holiday maker to Scotland, I have stayed at many B&Bs but I found this one to be best of all. On our arrival we were greated with a variety of home made cakes and were welcomed into their home. Sue and Stewart, such warm and friendly hosts couldnt be any more helpful, they made our stay a memorable one. The rooms being spotless and spacious, enabled our nights sleep to be extreemly comfortable. The mornings were just as wonderful, waking up to full english breakfasts, cooked to perfection. Stewart was full of ideas for places to see from beaches to historical sites, the B&B being in the perfect location. After long days out it was great to get back to chill in the guest lounge before having our evening meal cooked by Sue, such things as salmon, venision and steak. Then followed by delicious deserts such as lemon meringue and cheesecake; the sticky toffee pudding is to die for! We were saddened as our trip came to an end, but there is no doubt, we WILL return!
