We turned up without a booking and sadly the chef had to turn us away. we booked for the following evening.
We were met and remembered and made most welcome. Not so busy this night and the menu was mouth watering.
Everything was cooked to perfection and served appropriately. The wine list was comprehensive and reasonably priced in the circumstances.
We had a lovely evening, the sun was shining on the loch and the birds were singing. Swallows nesting in the doorway and siskins on the bird table.
We shall return with a booking.

The staff at the Pennyghael Hotel saved us on a quiet Sunday in April.
We could not find anywhere to eat, and were facing the prospect of going hungry. We knocked on the door of the Hotel and the owner answered. The restaurant was closed, but he invited us in, opened up the restaurant for us and cooked us a delicious meal.
We had the best view overlooking the bay with the sun setting. The staff were so kind, and we were so appreciative of their generosity and kindness.
It is not very often that you come across that level of flexibility and kindness!!!!

We found it by chance during our family tour of the isle. Atmosphere, hospitality and delicious meals. Everything in front of a fantastic bay. A special mention to the "brown natural water" directly from the mountains!!

We found this spot through the help of our guest house hosts and had a delightful time. The meal itself was excellent but it was the people - from waiters to the chef - who made the experience so enjoyable and memorable.

We recommend it highly - but make reservations.

This is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. The menu changes daily and is dependent on what local produce is available. There's not a lot of choice but it doesn't really matter because it's all so good. The mussels are excellent. I would definitely visit again when we next go to Mull, although it is a little expensive. Booking essential.
