We have just returned from a 4 night break at the Gwbert Hotel, this being our 2nd visit.
We could not fault the Staff or service provided.
The food was excellent as always, meals to look forward to, however, we do feel that the bedrooms are looking tired and would benefit from a make over, as problems are starting to arise.
We would like to return sometime in the future, but would maybe ask about the bedrooms before booking.

Room tip: Worth paying extra for a sea view

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the hotel Bank Holiday Monday.
Location was amazing, with beautiful views of the sea. Staff were courteous and the service was excellent.
We ate in the restaurant and food was delicious.

We were looking for a hotel with sea views, good food and good staff. The Gwbert Hotel delivered this and more. This young and friendly staff made us feel welcome and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. They were particularly good with an elderly family member who accompanied us.Attentive but not intrusive they greeted us with a smile and despite being very busy delivered our order to our table with a friendly word, returning to make sure all was well. The menu was varied and some interesting specials, our only problem was finding room for a dessert, all delicious.
Across the road the River Teifi enters the sea,it is difficult to tear ones eyes away from this scene especially at sunset. The bar and terrace a lovely place to unwind and just admire the view.
We requested a sea view, well worth the extra money. It was very hot for two days of our stay,we were able to open the windows and keep, them open at night.
We will certainly visit again, with many interesting places to visit, the coastal path, busy Cardigan Town and beautiful beaches, wildlife, the list is endless. Most important a lovely place to return to,order a drink and peruse the menu and enjoy the view.
Book for Dinner, people come from miles around to eat here.

Room tip: Second floor rooms probably quieter but this is not a noisy hotel,a sea view well worth the money. The small lift is slow but works well.

took the last room available on-line which turned out to be a family room Rm 18 looking over the car park. Front Desk moved us to Rm 14.
Pretty small room, a little shabby but we were told it was all that was available.
Bed reasonably comfortable but pillows and duvet polyester and very hot - as this was a during a very hot spell for Wales - 19-21 July.
Not a great sleep as it was hot as I have said and there was a limit to how much we could open the window - this situation won't happen that often
Not a lot else to say about the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful.
Dinner in the Flat Rock I am writing a separate review. For breakfast it was pretty standard fare and a hearty helping.
Like many Welsh hotels it could do with some TLC in places.
