Whilst on a visit to Cardigan we decided to visit Abdul’s. The reviews we read were good so we decided to give it a try.
On entering the restaurant we were greeted by the waitress and shown to the table. The place was very clean and tidy and the furnishings added to the ambience. They don’t serve alcohol there, but let you bring your own and don’t mind opening the bottles, providing glasses and ice, if required. The menu was quite extensive and there was a good choice of dishes.
The host came to take the order and he was excellent, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. He even advised on what dishes may be suitable.
The food was very good and the bill at the end reflected excellent value for money.
Overall a lovely meal and a great experience.

Good food and nice staff. Coming from the midlands we are spoilt in choice of a good curry and always try somewhere new when on holiday. This was among the best of holiday curries.

We hadn't had a nice take-away curry in a long time, AND WE STILL HAVEN'T!! We ordered Onion Baji and Chicken Bhuna Puree for our starters, the puree was ok, as was the Baji, we were disappointed to see that we didn't receive complementary Raita which all other takeaways have always included with starters. The tiny bit of salad that we had was brown and limp, so that went straight in the bin as it was awful. We also ordered a Garlic Balti Chicken and Garlic chilli Prawn. The Garlic Balti Chicken my fiance ordered was lacklustre, swimming in oil and he stated that it did not taste like a Balti curry at all. My own Garlic Chilli Prawn, was a handful of tiny prawns in brown water, not curry sauce consistency at all.....when we strained the curry there was a handful of rubbery prawns (rubbery consistency, usually means the prawns are overcooked (tut tut chef) or heated up in a microwave! (Is it the head chef's night off?) We ordered keema naan and chicken tikka naan and did not receive the keema naan....the naans and chips were freezing cold and the mango chutney was mango sauce, it was like water rather than a jam consistency. I am Far to ashamed to say how much we were suckered into paying for the meal, by checking that they had a 5 star hygiene rating and stupidly trusting the reviews on their own website, but it was more than we've paid for a curry before for two people. To sum up, we had missing food items, cold food, watery inedible curries and limp brown salad and we paid a stupid price for it all. It seems this restaurant favours the bottom line more than customer satisfaction, so if you want our honest to god advice, avoid ABDUL'S SPICE takeaway in Cardigan at all costs!

Nice place, ample room and excellent food in Cardigan. Portions were generous and the stuff ver kind. Also quite a wide variety of dishes. I’ve eaten in many curry houses and this is one of the best

This is so good we came back twice whilst on holiday. Lamb jalfrezi, chicken shasklik and the cauliflower bhaji were all fantastic.
