Great service and wonderful cuisine. We spotted this little gem a year ago when visiting parents, we were not disappointed tonight!

We holiday regularly 15 miles up the coast but had never heard of the Shampan until a fellow caravanner told us about them.

Seek this place out... IT'S GREAT.

The staff are attentive & atmosphere is intimate. The menu is extensive & varied. The dishes are pretty much authentic & well cooked with JUST enough ghee for flavour but not too much to make the food greasy - perfect!

We ate here as a table for two & ordered accordingly. Half way through our meal a table of six next to us had finished. They had food left over which the staff efficiently boxed up for them to take home.

If I had known this I would have ordered food for four & taken the "doggie bags" home.

There you go... top tip for the Shampan. Over order, share in "pick 'n' mix" style at the table & take some tasty treats home.

OK it's a bit on the expensive side but well worth it.

Looking forward to our next visit.

“This curry house rocks its boat”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

If you like a good Indian meal of any description get yourself here folks.
The service was impeccable, the location is very quirky and cool and above all else and most importantly the food was fabulous.
I had a chicken madras, other party members had a prawn Bhuna, lamb rogan josh and there wasn't a person who didn't want more. The potion sizes are huge so be prepared to take some away, but having said that it can only be a good thing.

This is Indian food done right, get yourself down there if you're in Cardigan.

“A Vist for an Evening Meal”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

We where recomended to vist Shampan for an evening meal. As we where far from home and working in the area for a couple days we decided to try it. It was our lucky night as the food for the whole party was great, every one of our party enjoyed the evening with the service being up to a very high standard. We would return here again in the future, We wish we could go there every night.

“Ok - But Average ”
Reviewed 26 February 2014 via mobile

We visited this place because of the reviews on here. It was a Monday night and we (family of four) were the only visitors, food was served very very hot. Jalfrezi was ridiculously hot with chillies but that's not their fault to be fair, I guess the chillies were very strong. Rice was a bit pricey at £3 as was the other extras. Would not serve half & half (Chips & rice) for the kids, although they would serve this to us adults with a curry- which was very odd- The curry was average at best although the service and climate was very warm and welcoming.

Coming from the city and not a local I would liked to have tried Ali's which is on the street just outside, that seemed quite busy for a Monday night- although they do not serve alcohol :-/
