“Lovely service and good grub!”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

We ate at the 25 mile last night. We were impressed with the quiet, welcoming, and efficient service, the very tasty and well cooked food, the ethos of the place, the rustic décor and furnishings, and the cost wasn't too bad either despite all ingredients being locally sourced. Families are welcome and there is a big blackboard for customers to write their opinions of the food and experience of eating at the 25 mile - my daughter loved this! We would highly recommend this restaurant.

“Glad we ate here”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

Being city dwellers visiting Cardigan for one night, we were shocked by the lack of places to eat in Cardigan that suited our tastes (let alone that everywhere stopped serving food at 9pm!)... We were looking for something trendy, with good food but not too expensive. This place ticked all the boxes and after checking out a few local pubs we were glad we came back to eat here. We had seabass and the burger and both were well cooked and delicious. Although the portions aren't the biggest, it was enough and the price was good. I really liked the vibe and decoration of the place also.

“Lovely meal”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

We enjoyed a lovely meal here, with excellent local ingredients. We ate early evening and there were few other diners, but service was not that quick. Portions were probably too big. We didn't enjoy dessert. Having had rich good for both starter and main, we were hoping for some straight forward ice cream to finish, but there were just very odd sounding ice creams available and had an extremely unpleasant texture. We both left it. A Shane, because the rest of our meals were fantastic and service good, if slow.

“Unexpected find”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

So we were staying nearby at fforest campsite and decided to eat out not really having any particular expectations and just wandered into Cardigan town centre. I think it was raining so we need up diving into the first place we came across that look OK.

Immediately welcoming and accommodating on account of having a small dog with us and getting out if the rain!

It soon became apparent it is called 25 mike based on the fact most. If not everything is sourced within a 25 mile radius, nice little touch I thought, especially as we're all for supporting the local community.

We both had Steak, medium which was excellent. I recommend to anyone who appreciates the little details which make this place that bit more special than your run of the mill restaurant.

“Great welcome and great food”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

We stopped off in Cardigan before returning to our holiday cottage to go to The 25 Mile which had been recommended. We ordered a child's 25 mile burger , the 25 mile burger and the steak. All 3 dishes were superb, beautifully seasoned. My son and my husband pronounced the burgers to be the best ever as was the accompanying homemade burger sauce and my steak was a perfectly cooked medium rare. I chose an Argentinian Malbec which was really good. The 25 Mile team were also superb, the service relaxed but friendly. We met three members of staff, Tom, Hannah and Luke who were all great and took the time to involve our 5 year old son at the table which he loved. My husband's cheeseboard was fantastic but huge and he was only disappointed that he could not do justice to it ... no problem, it was packed up for him to take home. The coffee, as expected, was also superb. Credit too must go those in the kitchen who we didn't meet but created a thoroughly enjoyable meal. We will definitely be returning for further holidays here and The 25 Mile will be an unmissable stop.
