“Good coffee and cake and free wifi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2013

Close to the High Street, the Cafe has good wifi reception and pleasant staff who don't seem to mind how long you take over your coffee. The cakes appear to be home made. There is also a good selection of art and crafts by locals.

“We must be special!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2013

My husband, friend and I were visiting Cardigan today and looking for somewhere to relax and have a cup of tea. As we were passing this place we could see lights on, but it didn't seem to be open. We were about to walk on when a lady came out and confirmed it was closed on Sundays, that they were only there as they had had a birthday party. When I asked her if there was a cafe nearby she invited us in anyway and we had tea and cake!
The layout of the place, coupled with the interesting arts and crafts and cosy areas for sitting and relaxing makes it unique and we will definitely visit again when in the area to have a closer look at the art work and sample other things from the interesting looking menu.
A sincere thank you to the staff for their kindness and hospitality today.

“Tapas in Cardigan...hooray !!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2013

Evening Tapas. Lovely atmosphere with lots of candles, dimmed lighting and Spanish music. Paella being cooked outside the café. We really enjoyed our evening sitting in one of the lounge areas. Tapas menu was quite good. Could do with a few more choices particularly for vegetarians. Meatballs were delicious. Good tortilla. Aioli and olives were excellent. Plenty of bread. Need a little dish to dip stuff in the oil and vinegar. Lovely desserts and fabulous coffee as always. Staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. Really pleased to be able to spend time here in the evening. Will return and recommend to others.

“Best coffee in town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2013

I have the fussiest girlfriend in the world when it comes to coffee. They get it just right about 75% of the time in the Pendre which beats even the fanciest Cardiff coffee places. I like the salads and the cawl. We tried the Tapas evening and it was their busiest night to date and the staff worked their socks off to good effect. The food was good and the price reasonable.

“lovely cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2013

I love this local cafe with all it's cwtchy places to sit, and art to look at too! My friend and I both had the butternut squash salad which was fresh and yummy, served with lovely crusty granary bread. The coffee is good and they were happy to serve a half portion of a delicious, rich chocolate cake. Friendly service too. Will definitely visit again!
