Description: A Family Run Fish and Chip Restaurant and Take Away in the small seaside town of Cardigan. West Wales. Open 7 days a week. All food cooked to high standards with a 5 food hygiene rating.

Wonderfully fresh fish and chips. Disappointed on entering to see that they only offered one size of fish potion as I was really hungry. Ye Gods, the fish portion was massive, cooked to order in a good crisp batter with crisp yet fluffy chips (also massive and glad I only went a regular portion).

Gets busy so choose your time to avoid the queues outside the door into the street.

One evening our family of seven adults who were holidaying in Gwbert chose to have a fish & chip take-away from The Pendre Cafe. Wrong choice.

The fish in every case was dry and the batter soggy. The chips looked as if they had been cooking all day. They were dry twisted. Overall this was one of the worst fish & chips any of us had experienced. Certainly the worst meal of the holiday. Most of it finished in the waste bin.

Run by a young team the Pendre Cafe was clean and friendly. The fish had a very light batter and was expertly cooked, the chips were not greasy. All washed down with a perfect cup of tea, the whole experience was excellent.

A place that is different, all types of seating from sofa's to normal chairs, little areas so you can feel like you are in your own living room, surrounded by crafts that you can buy.
Lovely atmostphere.

We stopped for a quick take away as we were in a hurry. Plenty of food available in the counter display and fresh chips. Large portions. Very friendly staff. Siarad Cymraeg hefyd. Gwych. Located on the main street in Cardigan. Plenty of seating area inside as well. Diolch yn fawr. We will call again.
