We were pleasantly surprised. Caemorgan is more than a guest house, Its a warm and friendly hotel with a top quality finish. The breakfast is wonderful, with eggs from the owners chickens and local fresh ingredients - dont be afraid to try the laverbread which was cooked to perfection. Evening meal was good value with an excellent choice. The wine list was good and also reasonably priced. Room was quiet and the hotel was easy to find, but not close to the road - what more could you want when visiting this part of wales ! Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a lovely two night break at this wonderful guest house. The room was gorgeous, the bed and linen perfect. It was very tranquil. The owners could not do enough for you. We had a meal on the first night and this was lovely. Breakfasts delicious.
Every thing was catered for even fresh milk!
Bathroom beautiful and we really took advantage of the steam room and the fluffy robes. We found it difficult to leave the room.
A massive big thankyou to Beverley and David. And a big extra thankyou for returning items we had left in the room.
Highly highly recommended and would love to return again.

Accommodation splendid, décor tasteful, beds very comfortable and food excellent. The evening dinners, using local produce were exceptional. Presentation of table and food beyond compare. A most comfortable and welcoming break to an area of Wales we have visited many times before

Room Tip: First floor rooms are large, light and well ventilated. The en-suite is excellent.

So much care taken on the reception rooms, bedrooms and luxury bathrooms. This set the standard for our three day stay. The evening meals and breakfasts were exceptional. The white chocolate cheesecake was not to be missed. Work on the grounds are 'work in progress', but do not detract from the comfort and luxury of the house itself. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Remember how narrow single beds are, we would share a king bed next time.

Just returned from a fabulous one night break at Caemorgan Mansion. What can we say - it was just wonderful.
We arrived and were shown to our lovely and well appointed room ( the whole Mansion has been extensively refurbished in 2013.)
We met with the hosts David and Beverley and they enquired as to our plans -I had stated we were there because we wanted to go to sea in the hope of seeing the wild Cardigan Bay Dolphins. We had already booked a trip with 'A bay to remember' for the following day, and it was the boat tour company that recommended the Mansion based on previously satisfied clients.

We planned to spend the sunny afternoon finding out where the boat departed and then a trip to Mwnt to see if we could spot any wild dolphins from the cliffside.

Following our excited return after spotting a Dolphin with her calf, and another following closely behind (and an ice cream at the tea shop,) we returned back to the Mansion to chat some more - and found out that they had 3 adorable Newfoundlands. Following lots of fuss of the 'bear like' dogs we went to shower and change for dinner.
David is a wonderful chef and we enjoyed 'Gordon Ramsey' inspired dishes, with local and sustainable food.
Beverley was great to chat with and told us some of the history of how they acquired the Mansion.

The dinner and wine were excellent, delicious and lovingly presented. Following another pat of the newfoundlands who were out for their evening stroll, we retired ready for our early start the following morning.
David and Beverley were very kind and offered to make us breakfast at 6.30am ready for our departure at 7am for a sailing at 7.30am. We only wanted toast due to a mixture of sea travel and excitement!

Chris and Tony at 'a bay to remember' were great guys and we left the pontoon on a inflatable 'lifeboat' awaiting our wildlife tour. As we left Gwbert, we accelerated towards Cardigan island to see the various wild birds. Chris was very knowledgeable and pointed out the different species.

We then made our way past Mwnt and onto Aberporth. No sightings of the dolphins on the trip up the coast, we we turned around and Tony offered the word of comfort that they had done a similar 90minute trip and did not see the Dolphons until they got back to Cardigan island!

With that said, and all of us looking into the sea, I shouted out - there is one!!!
... and then they came, we saw numerous individuals, some in different pods who greeted each other with splashes and jumps. What a trip and more of that on my "bay to remember review'

We returned elated to the mansion, where David and Beverley offered us another round of breakfast and we enjoyed the delicious Welsh rarebit.
Following a goodbye cuddle to the dogs, we left with great memories and we plan to return. We were delighted with the quality and friendliness of the Mansion, the quality of the accommodation and food and the friendliness of the hosts.

Room Tip: All rooms are no doubt fabulous based on the renovation.

Clearly the hosts used their own experiences of international travel to pick up tips on what they feel 5 star luxury should deliver. It has worked. You can see their attention for detail and quality all around, from fixtures and fittings through to the food served in their restaurant.
Our meals comprised of quality ingredients, prepared with much care and presented really nicely.

Room Tip: No rooms appear to offer any great advantage over others. Although you may prefer not to be on the s...
