What a delightful bed and breakfast! We were welcomed with fresh coffee and welsh cakes. Our room was large, beautifully furnished and spotless clean! Lots of choice of teas, coffee, hot chocolate available in the room. The owners have elegant taste, and artwork is dotted everywhere. Our view from bed was along the estuary and out to sea! Fabulous!! Breakfast was perfectly cooked and generous portions! The Lavabread was a very nice touch. The owners are friendly and well informed about the local area. Take the time to visit "Art on the Hill" Bernard Barnes is undertaking a magnificent mural, he deserves international recognition!!

This is without doubt a thoroughly professional business and a pleasure to stay at. From the moment we arrived Adrian and Robin treated us like friends and made us feel relaxed and at home. The location is great and with the bonus of good off-street parking (at a premium in Barmouth someone told us). Breakfasts were exceptionally good with a choice of a full English, or a daily special such as Egg Benedict or Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Bread, muffins and jams are home-made and delicious.
Barmouth is a gem of a place - almost like a continental resort. We will visit again and Lawrenny would be our first choice of where to stay.

We arrived at 1130 on Sunday the 2nd of June 2013, and left our car in their car park and walked down the hill into Barmouth. At 4pm we went back to the B&B and was met by the host who gave us a warm welcome and complimentary tea, coffee and welsh cakes.
The room was light and airy with a view of the estuary. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was stunning with a walk in power shower with additional body sprays. The sink was a lovely round one on a marble base. There was a comprehensive selection of teas and coffees on offer each day in the room. The breakfasts were first class and they had daily specials in addition to the traditional ones.

We had a lovely stay, in fact it was so good we stayed an extra day!

We would stay here again and we would recommend it to others.

Wonderful location in Barmouth, easy to find & parking is convenient. We stayed for a week & did'nt move the car at all. Close to all amenities & only a short walk into the town centre. There are decent Pubs & restaurants within easy walking distance - for evening meals. We did several good quality walks & there are numerous options for serious walkers. Rooms are very comfortable & the hosts are genuinely friendly. Breakfasts are ample, well prepared & certainly set you up for the day. We enjoyed a lovely seaside holiday & will certainly rebook without any hesitation at all.

Room Tip: The Rooms overlooking the estuary are especially pleasant.

This is a smashing B&B. We had a very nice en-suite room with a sea view (worth paying that bit extra for) Our hosts, Robin and Adrian, were very welcoming and went out of their way to help us - lending us guide books and even booking a table for us at a local restaurant)
Break was good- offering alternatives to the usual 'full English'
Lawrenny Lodge is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Barmouth, and 1 minute from the famous Barmouth estuary bridge.
A great base for walkers hoping to explore the area.
