“Idyllic getaway”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed five nights at Llofft Allan. It was a perfect base for exploring Wales. The accommodation is superb; tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Jane is an excellent host - very friendly and helpful.
If I was to suggest any improvements it would be to ask for a couple of mugs in the kitchen in addition to the tea cups provided and also a couple of new pillows on the bed.

“Very good clean accommodation but could hear other guests”

The accommodation was very good apart from the noise level of the people below us, It was a good job the apartment below us was not used until Friday of that week as it would have been unbearable, it could have done with sound proofing. Also there were odours rising from the kitchen below 'garlic'. Also the games room which had a pool table, bar football and table tennis table in it. The pool table top was torn and needed recovering, there wasn't any tips on any of the cues and the bar football game, one of the bars were completely broken, there was only the table tennis table which was usable to play on.

Management Response
10 Jun 2014
Thank you for marking the accommodation 5 out of 5 in 7 out of the 8 categories ? if the overall review of 2 is a mistake. Since we converted Llofft Allan 25 years ago this is the first complaint we have received about the noise level and are naturally disappointed to hear that any of our guests are unhappy.
All guests are welcomed on arrival and asked to contact us if unhappy with any aspects of their accommodation/amenities. If we had been informed the issues mentioned in the review would have been rectified immediately. The pool table might not be to championship standard but the children of the families visiting have countless hours of enjoyment from it

“Home comforts, perfectly situated for beach, mountains and adventures”
Reviewed 2 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Found Ystumgwern through random internet search. Llofft Allan is perfectly sized for a couple and you really feel seculded, despite being on a farm and with other parts of the stables let out. The Williams' have furnished the flat in a modern rural style to a high standard, with dishwasher, utensils, dvd player, fire and CD player. Bonuses include a laundry room onsite - which you need after the MTB trails of Coed y Brenin (30 mins drive away) and a games room with ping-pong table, pool table and an extensive range of videos for the rain when it does comes. Wifi is free and usually fairly strong.
Dyffryn has a few pubs and restaurants (including a take away pizza from the local Italian). The local Spar has an excellent butcher attached for your needs for a calorific breakfast.
The sweeping sand dunes of Morfa Harlech are a bike ride away and everything within North Wales is in driving distance of here. A surprising lovely getaway and we are both very glad we foudn Ystumgwern.
