We are so glad that we decided to stay at Grantham House. The room was immaculate and well decorated and the view of Cardigan Bay lovely from the huge windows. I loved the quirkiness of the whole house - lots of interesting objects around to ponder on and it has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Carol and Ade were great hosts. Ade is a top chef - we are only sorry we couldn't do his breakfasts the justice they deserved!!! We did enjoy the packed lunch he prepared for the train - it kept us going all the way home!!
If we are ever in Barmouth again, we wouldn't hesitate to go back to Grantham House. Thanks for everything Ade and Carol.

We stayed at Grantham House for a short break to Wales and it was a lovely place to relax. The owners were welcoming, friendly and provided a beautiful room, with fantastic sea views, a top class breakfast in their quiet, tastefully decorated house. We both had a great night's sleep and would definitely return to Grantham House.
Don't stay anywhere else if you are visiting Barmouth!

Room Tip: All rooms are great. We asked for a room with a sea view - lovely.

You cannot go wrong staying at this bed & breakfast, from an amazingly comfortable bed to one of the tastiest breakfast I have had. The rooms are spotless, Ensuite finished to a very high standard. Carole and Adrian could not do enough from start to finish, like a home from home.
We stayed in the double bedroom facing the sea.Parking at this time of year early March was no problem.Town center , beach about ten minutes walk.

Room Tip: We stayed in the double room facing the sea, you cannot fault it. Large room, comfortable bed. moder...

Carole and Adrian are the most welcoming couple you could meet. From the time they open the door to great you to the time that you leave you are made to feel so important.
We had a double room and stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The full Welsh breakfast consisted of whatever was wanted. Adrian`s freshly made fruit salad was delicious. My husband had the full cooked breakfast however that was too much for me. You had the choice of whatever you wanted and nothing was too much for Adrian and Carole. Th breakfast fills you up for the day The double bedroom had an on/suite bathroom that was so modern and clean it was wonderful. The bedroom itself was better than some of the top class hotels we have stayed in. This contained all the normal essencals ie. hair dryer and television with a d.v.d. player. Carol and Adrian also have a small selection of videos to borrow. The bed was a king size with wonderful soft bed linen. There is a sea view from the double room but the natural water fall that can be seen from the double room is much more spectacular. We stayed at the b/b rather than stay with family and it was wonderful. When we return again we will have no hesitation in staying here again. To Carole and Adrian this is their home however they are willing to hand it over willingly to their guests. When we left we felt that we were leaving friends rather than a buisines. I could go on for ever but the readers will get bored. There is adequate parking and situated within a ten minute walk of central Barmouth

I made a relatively late booking at Grantham House in Barmouth, but on arrival was overwhelmed at the sheer quality of the place and the warmth of the welcome. Within 5 minutes of being showed to our room we were provided with freshly made tea, biscuits and Bara Brith. The accomodation has been beautifully decorated to the highest standard, with top quality fixtures and fittings, and pays homage to Victorian style with a nod to the current day. I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts Carole and Adrian, who are a delight, and who manage to strike the right balance of being on hand and unobtrusive at the same time. The choice of breakfast products is varied and of such high quality with locally sourced ingredients, fantastic bacon and sausages and toast to die for, like my grandma used to make, all very very REAL! If you are going to Snowdonia, make Grantham House your base, it isn't a hotel and has none of those corporate pretentions, but a great B&B and true home from home.
