Prefect home base
We were visiting Wales from Canada to celebrate my son's and new Welsh Daughter in law's wedding. The place had plenty of room for 8 adults, a wonderful view, quite neighborhood that was a short walk to restaurant, pubs, beach and grocery stores. The flat had all the amenities we needed in the kitchen and beds and linens met all our needs. The host even sent a neighbor over to contact me when I lost my wallet in town and my cell was not working. We had 3 cars that we parked in town at public parking lots and were able to load and unload our cars in front of the flat. Wifi was a little slow -which is to be expected in small towns

This property is in the perfect location in Barmouth, with stunning views over the estuary. It is a large house perfect for groups of family or friends. The owner Nick and his wife are helpful and charming in equal measure and I would highly recommend booking with them for a truly memorable visit to Barmouth and surrounding area.

We were a group of four women who are friends and colleagues. We stayed a long weekend to rest, walk and discuss. We had everything we needed and more. Rooms were spacious and the front two bedrooms have stunning views as does the Jack and Jill bathroom in between them. Rear rooms are ensuite and cosy. Downstairs the views are lovely and we enjoyed sitting chatting in the bay windows. Plenty of places to walk and visit. We enjoyed the narrow gauge railway trip. We would certainly go again.
Our family stayed in the ground and first floor accommodation at Bod Idris in late August and couldn't believe the views or weather we had!
The outside space is great for a glass of wine and If you are looking for the best views of the sea and estuary in Barmouth, coupled with spacious accommodation (with enough bathrooms and bedrooms to please all) - go here!

Just spent 3 nights here with our family, my parents booked it and were all blown away by the stunning views from this house. The rooms were huge and there was so much space for us all to enjoy. A short walk into Barmouth and plenty of parking close by, would highly recommend for families, hope to visit again soon.
Just back from a fabulous 3 nights stay at Bod Idris, a lovely characterful house evoking the splendour of days gone by with the luxury and convenience of contemporary amenities. The bedrooms are huge with 3 en-suite. Very thoughtfully decorated and very spacious living area which comfortably accommodated our family of eight, giving everyone enough space so as not to fall out.A short walk into Barmouth and the railway bridge for the start of a fabulous cycle ride along the Mawdach Estuary. The unique selling point of Bod Idris, however is the spectacular view of the estuary and out to see. Truly amazing. A very special place, which we hope to visit again soon.
