“Mid week break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2014

Our second visit to a Warner Hotel and received a warm welcome. Atmosphere is very good, majority of guests keen to be friendly. Food is pretty good, a little mass produced but overall acceptable. Entertainment also good, sometimes a little OTT, but this is down to some individuals. We require a wheelchair accessible room and the bathroom/wet room was very nice. Good sized bed and bedroom also and very comfortable. Drinks rather expensive but then they generally are in hotels.

Me and my wife has had several short breaks at Warner hotels and always been satisfied, our latest being Bodelwyddan Castle from 20th to 24th Jan, our room was a standard room number 330 a good size very clean with flat screen tv, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and nice comfortable beds.
All the staff were very friendly and polite and would go out of there way to talk to you.
The entertainment team worked very hard to keep you entertained both day and night, a special thanks to Laura Bristow for her excellent singing and being so friendly.
Our break was a drinks inclusive from 6pm to midnight each night with a good selection of wine, beers, shorts and mixers also wine with your evening meal.
Food was excellent with either buffet or waiter sevice with a good selection.
All in all a very good short stay.

We have just returned from a 4 day midweek break with friends and it was so good in every way , from the moment we arrived our luggage was taken from the car to our room by a very nice chap. The reception staff were very friendly , our rooms were large with tv , tea coffee , biscuits, etc. We went for our evening meal very nice staff nice food and this continued for the rest of our stay .The evenings included dancing, quiz night and then a super show every night I must congratulate the whole team at warners for putting on such a wonderful break and would highly recommend this type of holiday for everyone what ever age

This was our second visit to the castle, and it is certainly the Warner Break with a difference. The castle grips you as you drive down the approach road...Majestic and impressive! You are immediately on holiday and captured!
As you pull up adjacent to Reception a host welcomes you, offers porter service and points out the ample parking options. Booking in is smooth and efficient, you are given a welcome pack and your room key(s) and told when your room will be available if not already.
The rooms are of a very high standard. We had a ground floor 'Signature' room (117) It had all you needed, large double bed with ample duvet and soft pillows. Table and armchairs, flat screen TV with lots of channels plus DVD player and a radio.there is small fridge which is useful and a good quality kettle with tea, coffee, milks & biscuits. The room lighting is good which helps if you like to read in the late evening or in bed. The en-suite bathroom had bath with overhead shower unit, good water pressure and very hot water, toiletries were provided and a magnifying mirror and hairdryer, plus a heated towel-rail. The towels were large & good thick quality. The wardrobe houses an electronic code type safe.
You are requested to visit the restaurant and are allocated your table for all meals.Dinner is part waiter service and self service buffet, a good combination.this applies to breakfast also. the quality of the food is simply "Excellent" nothing else to be said!
There is ample daytime activities, but the weather was cold and rainy which put paid to events such as Archery & Rifle shooting etc. However inside there were cookery demonstrations, quizzes and movie shows, plus snooker,table-tennis etc. There is a nice indoor swimming pool, steam room and spa pool.
The evening entertainment is very comprehensive, dancing, disco's,and stunning shows, variety and comedy. The entertainments manager is a true Pro, a bit like Ted Bovis out of Hi de Hi.
My only gripe is that, it was very cold and the heating in our room was a bit inadequate, just one radiator to heat quite a large room.
Warner's are very good value for money...not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for and the quality of their staff shines through.

Oh! How I wish I had booked a few more days. First Warners break but certainly not the last. The accommodation was fantastic - room was spotless, warm and comfortable. The restaurant was top rate - the service from Joanne was so efficient and the food was brilliant. The activities well organised, the entertainment was spot on. Every member of staff was helpful, cheerful and polite. The whole experience was great - especially living in a castle!!!

Room Tip: The room we had was in the older part of the castle which we really loved.

As Secretary of the Welsh Indoor Bowls Association I have just come back from Bodelwyddan Castle where we held our annual Champion of Champions event which is sponsored by Warners.
We have all had great time and have been we'll looked after by the staff. The facilities are very impressive and even if you are only on a visit to North Wales the hotel is well worth a visit. Rooms were clean, food was very good, staff very helpful.

The standards of customer service that Warner aim for at all their properties are not let down by anyone at Bodelwyddan Castle- all the staff are polite and helpful putting guest satisfaction first. The quality and variety of food is excellent with a full and varied menu. With activities during the day and entertainment in the evening nobody can say that there is nothing to do. Obviously trying to please a varied audience not all the entertainment will appeal to everybody but there is enough choice so that you cannot have any reason to dislike it overall. Will definitely be using Warner again.
