First time visit and was extremely pleased and surprised with quality and standard of standard room, Asked for room with view of gardens. Room had extensive view over estate parkland and was beutifully located. Located in the Williams village area which is part of the original castle. Beautiful location. Great food choice at Breakfast & Dinner with part waiter/waitress service. Pleasant staff throughout all areas.. Excellent pool and gym complex and great entertainment Inclusive. Also as a added bonus within easy distance should you wish to go out the whole of the Snowdonia National park and its many attractions

Room Tip: Room with view of gardens

My husband and I, with our friends, visited on the Take That tribute weekend in August. When I booked, I didn't realise it was a "drinks included" weekend. Surprisingly, decent brand shorts were included in the deal, along with beer, cider and wine. We both had signature rooms, which are always really nice and comfortable. I can't remember the name of the block we were in but our rooms were 213 & 215, on the ground floor so they were directly across from the reception and café/restaurant and were very quiet. Both rooms had a bath and a shower. On our first night, we went to our corner dining table but found we were blocked in by a party of nine on one side and another party of four on the other, making it almost impossible to get in and out. We spoke to our waitress, who arranged for the restaurant manager to come and see us. He apologised and said he would sort it out before breakfast, which he did. The evening meals were always good and I don't miss the tea/coffee that used to be provided as part of the meal. We made good use of the swimming pool and steam/sauna rooms, but found that the floor throughout the pool area was very slippery when your feet are wet. Apparently there used to be matting but it was taken up during refurbishments and hasn't been replaced. Some changing room signage when leaving the pool would also be useful - I accidentally went into the men's changing area, and I overheard several other women saying they'd done the same thing. On the Sunday morning my friend and I went for a pamper session whilst the menfolk went for yet another game of snooker. My therapist was Laura (Lauren?) and was absolutely excellent. We both had a back massage and a mud facial at a very reasonable price. During the afternoon, we had a look around the castle museum (free entry for Warner guests), which was very good. Sadly, we didn't get chance to do the full walk through the grounds, we just managed the mile walk in the morning. We did get chance to take part in the free rifle shooting, which was great. Our entertainment was mostly very good. Friday night was a singing comedy duo, which was very entertaining. Saturday night was the best though. I'm not a particular Take That fan, but the act was brilliant - although the free drinks after 6pm could have had something to do with it! Sunday night was a piano tribute by the in-house entertainments team. It was fine, but we were all so tired from the night before, we didn't manage to stay until the end. During our Saturday night, there was an incident with a gentleman who had too much to drink and got very aggressive. The team dealt with it brilliantly and got the gentleman out of the room without any fuss. There is free Wi-Fi available but only in the public areas. All in all, we had a great weekend. Everything was good, although having been to a number of Warner Hotels before, I didn't expect anything less. There are renovations ongoing, so it would be interesting to visit next year to see how it's changed.

Room Tip: 213/215 are on the ground floor (despite them beginning with 2) and are directly opposite the recept...

Nice stay but no bowls (wasn't aware before) one snooker table ( think Warners phasing out?) and refurb and new accommodation starting soon. Leisure suite area work started already and lunch was in the main restaurant as the conservatory area no longer open. Think the place does need an update but wonder if the guests staying during this time are affected and not sure pricing reflects this.

Maybe would recommend another location till works done. We enjoyed ourselves and food generally good. Staff very helpful ( Abi our waitress was lovely) except one very unhelpful receptionist.

Room Tip: We had a patio room. Patio area about shabby.

Hello

It is a truly exciting time for Bodelwyddan Castle and we have had a lot of positive comments with regard to the development; including the stunning glass atrium, a brand new Mulberrys coffee lounge and of course 45 new beautiful garden lodges for our guests to enjoy in total luxury.

I am pleased you read you enjoyed your stay and I will pass on your kind comment to Abi.

Kind regards

Just spent two out of a three night stay here. Surroundings spectacular and easy to reach but so disappointed with our stay there. The restaurant is no more than a glorified works canteen which is more to the pity as it is in a beautiful grand hall. Food is plentiful and edible but the staff are under pressure and your meal/drinks arrive piecemeal. Far too many people there, dance floor too small and no easy co-ordinated entertainment. We asked for a quiet room and were placed next to the museum and public cafe so plenty of noise from its child visitors - at Warners??? Warners are expanding this hotel with more chalets/rooms etc., keep well away, this place is no relaxing retreat and will only be worse when it's plans are completed. So disappointed with this hotel and beware Warners, you will lose custom if you keep putting profit before guests. Having said all above, we have also stayed at Holme Lacey in Hereford - unbeatable fantastic weekend break there. Small, cosy, available and approachable staff there - obviously under less pressure. Therefore, guests, check the size of the hotel, number of guests etc., before you book any Warners stay - much like the difference between large and small cruise liners.

Room Tip: We thought we had chosen a good room - received a four poster bed with a gravestone for a mattress...

We stayed here for two nights for our wedding anniversary and was impressed with the hotel, the room we had was very comfortable. The food was very good and service excellent at the restaurant. We enjoyed the pool and spa area very much even though on our stay the gents changing rooms were being re built and ended up changing in a very small toilet. All in all a nice couple of nights.

Room Tip: Book a room with a patio especially in summer.

this was the first time to a Warner holiday with my sister. We decided to go for the drinks inclusive holiday with a tribute Take That band playing on Saturday night. The band was great and had a great Saturday evening. Alongside this the staff entertainment was excellent and could not ask for better. All the staff at the hotel always said hello and had a smile.
The week-end was great, we decided to to to llandudno on the Saturday trip.We went by tram up the Great Orme, cold and windy but great views. you can drive up but it is cleary very steep.
I would recommend the historic walk on Sunday as this was very informative, however perhaps this could be held on the Saturday as thhis would give guests more time to explore on the Sunday (it is well worth exploring on your own) if they wished. Lots of other activities to do if you wish.
The food was very good and you had a choice of ordering off the menu (limited) or help yourself to mains. We had the signature room, bath was small could only sit but was okay as I tend to prefer showers. The swimming pool was of a good size and was very clean, i was impressed there was a small spinner to wring out the swim suits. Overall we had a great break and am going to return soon.

Room Tip: I beleive the room allocation is not too important in regard to noise as the rooms are away from wer...
