We usually stay in a caravan at Fishguard holiday park but this year decided to stay in a cottage and found this dog friendly cottage. It is very close to all the shops pubs etc but is tucked away down The Slade so noise is not a problem. The cottage was very clean on arrival and is quite spacious it is equipped with most things you need but do take salt and pepper pots scissors etc. The heating is superb and the cottage gets nice and warm. It has an excellent shower comfy beds and good cooking arrangements. I did leave a note for the owners as my young Labrador did find away into next door through the fence so be careful with your dog outside. The Pendre inn and the Globe Inn both let dogs in both doing food and not to far to walk. The Fishgurd Arms is worth a visit to step back into a time warp. The Bennetts Navy tavern is good for food as is the Royal oak but dogs are not allowed The Ship inn at Lower Fishguard is a must. It is a dog friendly, very cosy old fashioned pub landlord and staff enjoy a good chat. If you want food you can order a takeaway from the excellent Taj mahal indian or the two Chinese in town for delivery and cutlery and plates will be provided to eat in the far end of the pub it's great! Up into Goodwick the Glendower hotel is a good place for Sunday lunch dogs can go outside and all the locals enjoy a chat. A good places for dog walking is Newport sands with no dog restriction's but other beaches like Goodwick, Saundersfoot, poppit and whitesands do so check before you go and it can cost up to £4 to park at some of these as well.So all in all a lovely cottage and great friendly town with excellent walks
