We visited this week and were really impressed with the welcome and food at the Globe. The chef understood about gluten intolerance and went above and beyond to accommodate my sister-in-law who is vegetarian and coeliac. Portions were huge and all food was delicious. Thanks for being so understanding of her needs -so often there is only one option on menu or even nothing at all!

Friendly real ales pub serving wholesome food. Dog friendly inside and out with a beautiful terraced garden. Landlord and Landlady and staff lovely and welcoming and Brian does a cheeky Bloody Mary with a kick ! Great jukebox with 'real' music and papers if u want a read. Huge open fire makes me think it will be fab in the winter. Sorry I don't live near but will definitely be back and recommend.

The owner understands veggie and vegan dietary needs and was very accommodating, making a vegan mushroom en croute with home made chips and peas at a moments notice. They also stock vegan ice cream and had vegan chocolate brownies !

I visited here as a mix of adults, children, vegetarian and carnivores, and everyone was very pleased with their food. Not many places in fishguard catering for veggies/vegans so ideal is anyone in your party falls in this category. The food was freshly cooked rather than reheated like in most pubs! The portions were HUGE and at a reasonable price. Just awesome.

However, the pub is very small and we were only able to go as a large group (12 people) as we booked in advance and pre-ordered our meals. Even so we still had to be patient as cooking fresh food in a small kitchen does takes time (we received two meals at a time). Another point is that the Globe is not a glamorous venue and the outside looks very rundown. So if your in a rush, or expect find dining, then the globe won't be to your tastes. But for us it was a 5 star experience.

Was taken here by friends for lunch today (Sunday). One of us was a vegetarian, and I am fussy and do not eat many vegetables. The Landlady (Jean) could not have been more helpful, for me extra roasties (And REAL roast potatoes they were too, nice and crispy outside, fluffy inside) to make up for the lack of veg.

My partner and our friend had the full works, a mix of local beef and chicken, roasties, peas, carrots, swede, sweet potatoe, cauliflower cheese and yorkshire pud. The vegetarian had the home made nut roast. All portions were of a generous size and beautifully cooked with all the veg also being fresh. Main course was £9.95.

Pudding was the choice of Custard tarts with fresh raspberries, chocolate brownies or pavlova, all of which were homemade and yummy! Tea and coffee followed, with the coffee being a nice cafetiere of fresh Italian coffee.

The whole meal was lovely. This is only a very small pub with just five tables for dining, and a small garden (Note, steps to garden) the atmosphere is warm, cosy wand welcoming. Phil behind the bar made us welcome a soon as we walked in and tried to make sense of our order (Thanks Phil!).

Would certainly recommend and go again.
