“Slow service!!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

We went to Ffwrn as part of the Fishguard folk festival and then the atmosphere was lovely due to the live music and large number of people. Although I had an allergic reaction to something in their ham and cheese croissant and so couldn't each much, others with me did say they enjoyed the food.
Due to the curiosity of what it was I was allergic to we headed back a few days later. The place was dead. We ordered food and drinks and the drinks arrived around 15 minutes later. After waiting for around 30-40 minutes we could see that the staff obviously would rather not prepare our pancakes and would rather just stand around. We cancelled the food and paid for the drinks.
I wouldn't recommend this place if you were going in order to eat as you probably won't be served, however as a concert venue it is lovely!

“A special find in Fishguard”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Last time I visited this old church meeting hall it housed a hand made tapestry of the thwarted French Invasion of Fishguard. It now houses a unique, original style meeting place. One that serves great 'made on the premises' crepes, croissants, bread and more. It has a large wood burning oven sited at one end of the room. Great local beer, proper tea served in pretty china cups and saucers alongside a good sized teapot. Coffee here is the proper stuff too
All in all a unique experience, one that I will go back for again and again.
Don't change the recipe, the one you have now works perfectly.

“Quirky and wonderful eaterie in Fishguard”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

Visited Ffwrn twice during our recent trip to Fishguard. Very welcoming and very quirky place. Enjoyed a delicious and crispy-round-the-edge lemon and sugar crepe and bought a loaf of their sourdough which is made in a huge home made oven!. French, Welsh and English spoken. Only wish we could have sampled breakfast ( croissant/pain au chocolat) or enjoyed one of the folk festival entertainments in the evening on this visit but unfortunately we had to leave before the weekend started. Will try and visit again during fishweek!

One of the most inspiring and original spaces in Fishguard.

Lovely, lovely people! Not to be missed. I love this place x

“A little piece of "Chocolat"”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

What a find! We stumbled in off the road completely by chance. A delightful establishment run by an equally delightful Breton lady. Bohemian and quirky, it reminded me of the film/book "Chocolat". Stimulating art from Britanny, mis-matched furniture and crockery - with a warm welcome. Definitely worth a visit!
