We were so pleased with our initial visit that we returned later in the week having enjoyed excellent hospitality from Jeff & Sue with a great breakfast local produce and rooms with magnificent scenery nearby..

The car was parked in a large secure carpark and the hotel was quiet and spacious with an interesting history.

We can't wait to go back .

Our third year with Jeff & Sue and once again fantastic. Nothing is to much trouble for these people, they are so welcoming. The food is excellent the staff are friendly and so helpful. I love the house which has a fasinating history and the rooms are huge. They accomodated an extra friend arriving at very short notice. Put up with muddy race bikes arriving in the carpark. Because they have the ability to create this warm and friendly atmosphere all the guests interact with each other. They work so hard, and have created a wonderful place to stay, with the great views. See you next year, Sue,Paul,Sharon,Tim,Linda,Mick and of course Andy.

I visited Highland Moors during my motorcycle tour through Wales in May 2011.

I got a very warm welcome from Sue and Jeff, who did everything, they could to make my stay pefect. They cared about any question or wish that I had.

The house is a real beauty although it's not renovated completely yet.
The work that Jeff did by now is
excellent. The tradition of the house
can be seen in every part of it.

The rooms are wide and bright.
They are refurbished with love and
care to conserv the ancient
character. Old furnitur and a
fireplace in every room in
combination with a modern bathroom make you feel real
comfortable in this clean house.

Sue and Jeff will help you to plan your sightseeing in Wales to get to
know some intersting places.

So, I'm looking forward to go back to Highland Moors.

I arranged a day at the Phil Price Rally School as a reward for my sales teams recent perfomance, and decided it would be nice to go the night before and have a meal etc to add to the occassion. I booked Th Highland Moor guest house as it was near the rally school and i would recommend staying there very highly. Sue was a wonderful help in arranging rooms for 10 of us making the booking process very easy. When we arrived we recieved a very warm welcome and we all show to our spacious, well decorated and spotless rooms. Having a pool table and an open fire in the living room was an added bonus which added to the appeal of this fantastic building. We had to leave early on Sunday morning and arranging an early breakfast was no trouble, a great choice of breakfast was available to choose and the cooked English breakfast was first class. A wonderful Guest house that i wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Great job Sue and the team.
Regards
Rob

On 21 April I made a booking to stay here for one night on 28 May. The booking was confirmed and payment made. On 16 May my booking was cancelled because they had 'accidentally overbooked'. Because of the assistance provided to find an alternative I have rated it an extra star but my experience is that you should beware relying on a booking made here.

Yes we did make a mistake and put a whole group of 10 rooms on the wrong day. As it wasn't an individual booking, I couldn't do anything but call this guest, gave him a full refund and spent a half hour finding him a lovely B&B a few miles south of us when he explained he was travelling through Wales on route. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and it is with reluctance that we ever have this situation. In fact, maybe once or twice in our 8 years. We go further than most to ensure even those who don't stay with us are happy. Note that this guest did not stay so he cannot rate us 'poor'. Finally we checked with the other farm B&B where we refered him on (he didn't want me to book him in as he said he would call the landlady personally) and he didn't stay with her the night in question. Guess we couldn't do much more than that.

We found this amazing guest house by chance when we were desperately trying to find somewhere to stay for the Hay Festival. As soon as we entered the impressive hallway we knew the guest house would be unique. There is a fascinating history to the building which Sue, one of the owners, very kindly explained to us, and it is set in beautiful and extensive grounds. The bedroom was large and well-appointed, and breakfast was excellent. Sue, and her husband Jeff, were very friendly and helpful during our stay. We look forward to a return visit.

Stopped here for the first time for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and were not dissapointed.
Sue gave us a free room upgrade and we were delighted with our stay here. The room was very comfortable with a lovely bed and good quality en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was all you could want and more if you needed it. Great guest Lounge with open log fire and Pool table, Nice, Quiet and Peacefull. We would definately return again.
