There are few places where a total stranger can be welcomed and immediately treat in the same manner as close friends would be, but this guesthouse is certainly one of them. From the moment I arrived I felt as if I was at home. Everyone was incredibly friendly, outgoing and couldn't be more helpful to me. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very large, and the bed incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was immaculate. I had stayed in 4 other B&B'S the nights previous and none could compare. The breakfast was also excellent, particularly the quality of the meat which was greatly unrivalled. I left that morning already wanting to return for another stay. I only hope that I can do so in the short future. Thank you for such a fantastic stay in Llandrindod.

My second visit to this family run guest house and i can only repeat what other guests have said,
A friendly atmosphere, breakfasts are very good. A very clean and large room with a excellent en-suite shower and toilet suite.
Evening meals are now available as is a bar.
A large car park in good condition (Not a mass of pot holes).
I would happily return to this guest house and would suggest you give it a try.
And i will also like to thank Sue and Jeff for their making my stay such a pleasant one and also to Caleb for being an excellent barman

I've stayed in every Hotel in Llandod over the years and they are either expensive and not too good or very outdated and not too good. This is the place I'll choose from now on, wish I'd found it sooner.
It's an old building with quite a history, transformed into a lovely place to stay, much more than a B&B, rather more a boutique type small hotel. Retaining the essence of history which makes this so interesting, Jeff and Sue have renovated the rooms with double glazing, heating, wi-fi access, freeview TV, which retains the ambiance, giving guests the historic experience whilst offering the 2013 amenities. My initial contact by phone booking my room was so easy and pleasant as Jeff was clearly interested in how he could make the booking, arrival and my stay the best for me. (If you want Premiere Inn, Novotel, Holiday Inn etc don't come to Llandod !)
My room was huge with lovely views, bathroom and separate shower room. There was a double bed and two single beds so would be great for a family, you can even bring the dog! There's a brilliant adventure playground for the children in the lovely garden area. I'm so impressed with this place. The conference facilities and training rooms are great. It would make a brilliant venue for team building or training events where you can all stay over and have the conference rooms for training. I'm certainly considering this as a venue for pan Wales meetings. Whole heartedly recommend you try it out, glad I did !

Room Tip: I understand there are12 rooms and all are different. Some single, some double and family rooms with...

Thank you so much for your very generous comments. We're delighted that you liked our guest house and conference centre. We have just built our new fort this week for the visiting children to enjoy and will continue to invest in our guest facilities. Hope we can delight you just as much when you visit again.

Nice quiet out of the way with great parking. Very comfy and clean. Just what we needed after a long day on the motorbikes. A great breakfast. Will definitely stay again when we do our next tour.

The roads nearby are amazing too..the perfect stop over for a motorcycle tour.

Highland Moors is conveniently situated, easy to find and with ample off-road parking.
Jeff and Sue are very friendly welcoming hosts and keen to see that their guests have everything they need for their comfort. (I am an elderly female and was travelling alone and I felt very safe and 'at home'.)
The cooked breakfast is very very good !
No hestation in recommending.

Room Tip: The family sized rooms with bay windows are the biggest and the best.

Stayed for 3 nights with my daughter to visit Wonderwool Wales in Builth Wells. Really handy for the showground. Lovely large room, comfortable beds, breakfast was great with a really wide choice. Plenty of room to park, friendly welcome and a very enjoyable stay overall. Couldn't get the internet (even though we got connected to the router it kept saying there was no internet connection) so couldnt make use of the free wi-fi, but that was only a trifling annoyance and not enough not to give the accommodation a bigs thumbs up! We will be returning next year.

Room Tip: The bay rooms have absolutely fantastic views towards the hills on all three sides.

We stayed here on 9/10/2012 - we booked in a hurry just as we were leaving home, as it was roughly half way to our destination of TENBY, actually on the A483. What a great choice it proved to be. The hosts, Jeff and Sue, could not have been more welcoming. The house is incredible, full of history. It is easy to see how much Jeff and Sue love it. The room was great, and even though the bathroom was a little small, it didn't detract from our enjoyment; the beds were so comfortable; and the breakfast was fabulous. We would love to go again and stay longer.
