Just returned from lovely three night stay here. Six of us lady motorcyclists filled the guest house exclusively, and were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were spotless, beds comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, particularly the deliciously crispy fried bread.
Having the little lounge to congregate in was the icing on the cake, there was even a fridge for our wine and soft drinks.
Hanging around unexpectedly one morning awaiting the RAC after one of the bikes played up, Lorna appeared with a tray of coffee and tea, and we whiled away a pleasant hour in the sunshine, in the garden overlooking the park and River Wye.
Definitely recommended.

Room Tip: They're all nice, but the family room on the first floor overlooking the park is gorgeous!

I consulted TripAdvisor when seeking an overnight stay in the Builth Wells area. Bronwye was top of the list. We've just stayed there - and now we know why it's so highly recommended. As other reviewers have reported, it's outstanding. Our en-suite room across the top of the property was very large, with a king sized, very comfortable bed. Everything was clean and exceptionally well maintained. It is very conveniently located for riverside walks (don't miss) and a local pub where the Rotary meet (i.e. good food and beers). Bronwye has free wifi, a residents' lounge, and so on.

The breakfast is indeed top class. Faultless.

And the hosts are attentive, pleasant and really welcoming.

In short, this is the standard to which all B&Bs should aspire. What a find!

What a fabulous Guest House from the welcome to the facilities. We had a lovely room overlooking the green and wished we could have stayed longer than one night. The breakfast was superb! Would love to return one day and would defiinately recommend to anyone wishing to visit Builth Wells.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the green

An unexpected overnight stay in the area resulted in us being directed to the Bronwye and quite simply it is the friendliest, cleanest and best quality overnight accomodation. Excellent breakfast. I will be returning here for a holiday break.
Adrian & Lorna could not do enough for us. I felt very much welcomed and at ease here. Great place, great location.

We recently stayed in Bronwye for 6 nights while hiking, mountain biking and resting in mid-Wales. We chose Bronwye mainly for its prices - which we found to be quite competitive compared to other B&Bs and cottages in the region. There was, however, much more to the guest house than the price.

The owners (Adrian and Lorna) are very welcoming, quick to help and offer whatever advice could make our trip easier or more interesting. We could store our bikes securely in the garage, and Builth is a fairly short drive from the Elan Valley, Crychan Forest, Tywi Forest and Plynlimon (though there are nice walks along the Wye, etc., starting from Bronwye's back door). The rooms and lounge were comfortable, the breakfasts were very generous (and flexible in terms of timing) and atmosphere was always relaxed.

In short, it's B&B with everything you'd need, in a convenient location for exploring mid-Wales, and run by very pleasant and helpful people! We would certainly enjoy returning...

Stayed here for 3 nights in room 5, which overlooked the river. - A fantastic view, lovely to watch wildlife from the window. Adrian & Lorna are the most friendly and helpful people you could ever wish to meet. A brilliant idea to have a fridge available to chill your bottles of water for your walk the next day - thanks for that! The breakfast is so satisfying we didn't eat at lunch time and enjoyed a lovely evening meal at a local pub. Thanks to Adrian for lending us a map of the area. The towels are lovely and fluffy and smell divine. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
