Description: Cosy Corner is a cafe during the day, serving all the usual 'comfort' cafe meals mixed with a few of our specialities - then in the evenings we transform it into a cosy, warm friendly restaurant serving a selection of starters, exciting mains and to round it off some delicious desserts. We are all about the food, the smells coming from the kitchen (which you can see from the restaurant) will vouch for that. We pride ourselves in knowing what our customers like and giving a good flavoursome tasty meal, freshly prepared on the premises. The range is extensive, from both veggie & carnivore breakfasts, panini, toasties, soups, salads to fish & chips, schnitzels, omelettes, lasagnas, cottage pie to our house favourite bobotie, sosatie and of course the beautiful Welsh Black steaks, sourced from a butcher that breeds the cattle themselves. Regularly we hold theme nights, from Curry evenings - Mexican - Japanese etc. For prominent events; Mothers Day / Valentines we will cater for.

A very welcoming host and very good afternoon tea, with a good selection of cakes. Host is a fount of local knowledge.

We get our car serviced at Builth Wells and found this gem of a place whilst whiling away time. The cafe is in a quintessential old-time tea room in a genuine architectural treasure at the end of Builth Wells's High Street. It's owner, Malcolm, is pleasant and attentive and produces the best toasted and buttered tea-cakes we have ever eaten. The coffee is great too! We go in other cafe's and sample their tea cakes and always say "Not as good as Malcolm's!" The Lunch menu is always interesting and very reasonably priced. The cafe is not open Wednesdays nor for evening meals.
