I have stayed at Ty Tal in each of the last six years and can recommend it wholeheartedly. Dinah and Brian are welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Rooms are clean and well appointed, breakfasts are excellent and freshly cooked to order and there's a pleasant lounge to gather in. Located in the town centre, shops are within a few minutes walk and I have always managed to park virtually outside. Good value too. It's a home from home.

Don't miss an opportunity to stay here! I usually come a couple of times each year and always receive a great welcome from Dinah and Brian. The bedrooms are clean, bright and tasteful with very comfortable beds. There's always fresh fruit for breakfast and a splendid range of yummy cooked food to set you up for a day's walking. Crickhowell is a great place to stay when exploring the Black Mountains, where the walking is superb. The crowds rush to Pen y Fan and leave the ridges here nice and empty. Wild Wales at it's best.....

We spent two very enjoyable days in this beautiful Welsh town recently. The Town is sited on the River Usk, with loads of lovely river, canal and country walks on the doorstep. Evening meals were very good at 'The Bear' and 'The Dragon'. The Ty Tal Bed and Breakfast was an excellent random choice, situated in the centre of Crickhowell, the accomodation, food and hospitaliy was superb and the price reasonable. Ther is still a lot to see in the area and we plan to visit again in the future.

Room Tip: The 'Ty Tal' is a tall three story buildind as the name suggests, we stayed on the top floor...

We have stayed here a number of times, both by ourselves and also have brought friends/family to stay as well. Dinah and Brian are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean, light and cosy. All we have stayed in are nicely decorated. Breakfast is delicious and the location is excellent for the town and for walking. We will undoubtedly return.

Located in a prime spot to access Crickhowell, we were delighted with our two night stay in a relaxing and spotless venue. Dinah and Brian were excellent hosts who were extremely helpful in assisting us with ideas for the the area. It was nice arrive and be given great cup of tea and cake to start our stay? They also produced a really quality breakfast and we would not hesitate to recommend the Ty Tal. Well done!

A short notice check in but Dinah and Brian were very welcoming and helpful. Very relaxing and comfortable rooms. Good value given all the attention to detail and amenities. Enough parking to meet their clients' needs. Best of all was the great quality breakfast. We both enjoyed the Welsh Breakfast. Being a bit fussy about needing a well cooked fried egg, they were happy to oblige! Overall an excellent B&B in this lovely welsh town.

Although I wrote about Ty Tal in April 2012, I thought it was worth a second review having stayed several times since. I stay there with my dad every two to three months. Dad is in his eighties, and despite health problems, enjoys short breaks away. We return to Ty Tal each time because the owners, Dinah and Brian, are so warm and welcoming. Dad always says it's like a 'second home' as he feels so comfortable there. Ty Tal is only a short walk to the town centre, and there are plenty of places to visit nearby. If there was a category higher than 'excellent' on Trip Advisor, Ty Tal would achieve it!
