“Lovely trip to Brecon”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

Lovely venue, very pleasant staff and sumptuous food. Lovely visit. Only stayed one night so didn't get to use the leisure facilities, but the overall experience was really enjoyable. There was a wedding going on during our stay, but it was kept very private, apart from the grear fireworks! Would definitely recommend!

The location, staff and the service in this hotel makes it a relaxing place to stay. The views are simply stunning, the food delicious and the staff extremely friendly. The spa was very welcome after a hard days cycling and the evening meal delicious. Can't fault it and the surrounding area is fantastic for walking, cycling or just chilling out.

Room Tip: Some if the rooms have fantastic views over the valley.

I stayed here for business last week. Due to a prom taking place during my stay I was given a suite away from the function and was not disturbed at all. The staff were very accommodating. The food is excellent. My only niggle is that I like to workout early in the morning, so the 8am gym opening time was not early enough for me to get to before attending to my business. However in the summer evenings it has a beautiful terrace to sit out and enjoy the stunning location.

The Manor Hotel in Crickhowell provides an ideal spot to stay whilst working anywhere from Hereford through to The Brecon Beacon area of Wales. The menu although somewhat limited in choice is none the less fresh well prepared cuisine.
My one and only criticism was that I had booked and received confirmation of my DOUBLE room only to find that I was in fact placed in a twin room. Now I accept that I am being picky but, although I travel alone I prefer sleeping in a double bed especially when the weather is as warm as it has been of late.

Room Tip: Try and obtain a room at the front of the hotel to enjoy the marvellous views.

I stayed here on a Sun night as part of a group of cyclists. The hotel was excellent - very welcoming and offered to keep our bikes in a secure area. Pool & Jacuzzi was much appreciated after a very long ride that day. The location of the hotel, especially in the summer sun, is stunning. Fantastic views over the valley towards Crickhowell. The evening meal was excellent and was then topped by the even better breakfast.

This hotel is made special by the staff. To a person they are top drawer and go out of their way to look after the guests. We recently stayed at The Manor for a Fishing Break and we were catered for brilliantly, especially when the weather turned against us. The rooms are reasonable, the food very good and the hotel is great value for money. I will be going back to stay before the end of the year and I’m already looking forward to it. Thanks.

The room was amazing with fabulous view. The food and breakfast was also fantastic and well-presented. What impressed us most was the customer service of staff. We went for a long walk at the Brecon Beacons and didn't get back until late. It was Sunday evening; usually the last order for food is at 9 pm. However, staff was very helpful and very flexible. She asked the chef to prepare some food for us despite it was later than 9 pm. So, we were very impressed with the service received.

Room Tip: go for suite room, you will not be disappointed!
