“Beautiful location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

The drive up to the hotel is a long drive with sheep walking freely and this gave a lovely welcome to the hotel. The building, although now a hotel, still has the feel and character of a country house and staff are warm and friendly without being overbearing.
My room was lovely, overlooking a garden with a gentle sound of trickling water coming from the pond outside, and as there are no cars on the road to hear, I was able to sleep with windows open on one of the hottest nights of the year. I never sleep well in most hotels, but this was an absolute joy!

I was warned that the wi fi may not be as good at this end of the hotel but there was no problem at all with internet access.

Room service was from the same menu as the restaurant and this was a wow! Beautiful, 12 hour braised confit lamb shoulder with gorgeous red wine, garlic and rosemary gravy. Well presented, hot, fresh and delivered really quickly. Unbelievably good value for money and I want it again!
Breakfast was in a lovely room with French doors opening up to the beautiful welsh countryside and service was attentive and relaxed. Food, again was perfect.
If I am in this area again I would definitely return. Thanks 'the manor' for making a business stay a pleasant experience rather than a chore.

Our room was lovely, clean, tastefully decorated, thick plush curtains and the bed was oh so comfortable, dog treats waiting in the room. Yummy breakfast (best vegetarian sausages ever!) stunning views

My room was grubby with fluff on the floor and the bed did not smell fresh. The bathroom was dirty with a stained shower curtain, dirty door, loose loo seat and dirty bin. My bed was supposed to be a double but was 2 singles joined together and was not comfortable. Apparently rooms due a refurb so check before you stay! Onthe plus side breakfast was lovely, staff friendly. Oh and hairs in dining room way too low and wifi only available in the bar

Room Tip: Ask if its been refurbished before booking

I popped into The Manor for afternoon tea and what a lovely afternoon it was. I took my dog with me as I new the hotel is dog friendly and we were both very welcomed. I had the Welsh Tea which was a very generously large pot of tea and two homemade welsh cakes which were stunning. After our tea, as it was such a beautiful day we sat out on the veranda for a few hours and took in the gorgeous view. The staff were so welcoming and friendly to both me and my dog and could not have asked for a better afternoon out. Will be back again soon!!

I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. We attended a wedding here and the house and views are beautiful. The staff were the most helpful I have ever encountered. The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous (23). The wedding meal was piping hot and delicious with good vegetarian options. Fab BBQ in the evening and all you could eat for breakfast with a perfect selection. The only negative thing I can think of was the alcohol was expensive otherwise the perfect wedding venue.

Stayed one night had dinner b&b. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner. You can also eat outside on the terrace. Breakfast, great menu something for everyone. Room good but a little warm as it faces the sun all day. View wonderful. Staff helpful and friendly! Recommended :)

Room Tip: Try it for yourselves :)

Lovely venue, very pleasant staff and sumptuous food. Lovely visit. Only stayed one night so didn't get to use the leisure facilities, but the overall experience was really enjoyable. There was a wedding going on during our stay, but it was kept very private, apart from the grear fireworks! Would definitely recommend!
