We stayed in the Manor in September 2005, in one of the 'Master Bedrooms', which was large. That's about all I can say in it's favour. Large but very dark. In dire need of a complete refit - creaky doors and windows overpainted umpteen times - vaguely musty smell throughout. The food was expensive and tasted like it had been prepared with 'packet mix' sauces. Thoroughly disinterested staff.
Nice views over the valley, but then you can see those without having to pay to endure the accomodation. They display an AA 3* sign on the entrance, but I'd be amazed if they hold onto that when the AA reassesses the place. I've stayed in better Travel Inns at one third of the price. Definitely one to avoid.
